Sorry guys, I totally forgot to take photos... But there is a good reason! I was so excited to start eating my Beef Dawg that I totally spaced it!
I had honestly never heard of this place until last week. I went to a Jazz game for the first time in forever and literally the first place to eat that we saw was J Dawgs. My bro in law said let's it here like he knew I would be okay with it.. 😂 Little did he know I had never been to this place before.
However since that day last week I have been 3 times! Twice... At the Jazz game. My dawg was so good I had to go back for a second... And the third time was at a J Dawgs on fort Union Blvd which is literally a few minutes from my work... So I probably need to set up a J Dawgs budget.
Anyways, it's delicious!! Here is why they are so good.
Simple! No frills menu. They offer Beef or Polish Dawgs on Homemade buns with classic toppings like saurkrout, banana peppers, and onions.
Second to none secret sauce! Seriously the secret sauce is so good. I want to eat it on everything!!
Simple = fast
Great price. You can get just a dawg for 4 bucks flat or 2 Dawgs for 8 bucks, or heck even 3 Dawgs for 12 bucks!! That's as much as one item from most places. You can add ships and a drink as well of course.
The bottom line, this place is fantastic and I look forward to the many dawgs I will enjoy in the future.
Thank...
Read more[UPDATE] The manager was very quick to respond and reach out to my husband to resolve the issue. We appreciate the professionalism and quickness. We love JDawgs and look forward to the next experience and see this as a way for the company to continue to get better and grow. Thank you Heidi for addressing this as quickly as possible.
My Husband and his friend stopped at this location to get some food after working an 18 hour day just to get the worst service ever! The girls behind the register were dismissive and only offered them 2 hot dogs. We walked in at 9:41 and they only had two dogs left. They were already cooked and would not cook anymore. Because they were "closing.” We sat down to eat by 9:45 and we were told we had five minutes to eat and get out because they were going to mop the floor. And then witnessed him pull the drawer out of the till at 9:50. Advertised to close at 10 PM. They didn’t order anything outrageous. Super rude and very unprofessional. Especially when this location is located in Utah with limited options...
Read moreNice, simple menu - you choose between polish and beef hot dogs. You can get chips and/or a drink with it for extra, if you want. They put the dog on a freshly toasted bun and you choose which toppings you want: sauerkraut, jalapeno, onions, pickles, (I believe banana peppers was on the list), and their special sauce which is basically a very sweet barbeque sauce. They put whatever toppings you requested on, wrap it in foil and you're done. Note that the dog has been slashed in such a way that it holds the toppings better, but you're still likely to make a mess if you get everything like I did. Grab plenty of napkins and enjoy. My 1 hotdog was $4 even (after taxes). A little pricey for a hotdog, but it was very quick to get and, I have to admit, rather tasty. The guy working the counter was cool and I noticed he always washed his hands after handling money if he was going to go tend the food again. I feel weird giving any hotdog place 5 stars, but other than the price, I wouldn't have them change anything so... OK... 5 stars...
