After attempting to contact this company off of their website, for a more personalized review and attempt to understand their business profile better, I realized that there is no "contact us" "reach out" "tell us how we're doing" buttons available.....and.now.I.know.why. Working in food service, I encounter so many levels of good, excellent and incredibly bad product and service, and for the most part, it's incredible people putting out great food, with thoughtful service. I try to be fair, but this was just the worst experience. Being that the salad choices were limited, I opted for 2 portions of the same salad.....it only seemed to confuse the server, as she picked up the sign that had the portion sizes (one at one price, two for a second price and so on) and although she aimed the sign at me, she was talking away from me, in a different direction, couldn't hear a word. The salad looked good from the case, it was arugula with montmorency cherries and pecans. Lush, beautiful and healthy. What I received was a box of arugula, with a single cherry and a pecan. After nearly fighting with her to put the lid on the box and end this transaction, I gave her my card, and was returned my card covered in food. Gross is an understatement, but hey...at least she was wearing gloves to protect herself, right?!? There are many dining options at SFO, with different levels of service and food quality. Thankfully, I'll never have to darken their door with my...
Read moreThis place is garbage. I was craving a sandwich so I found this place. I ordered a breakfast burrito, an Italiano sandwich, and a hot coffee. Before tax, I paid $35. I had the female Filipino looking staff toast the sandwiches for me. A Filipino looking male staff with a short pony-tail rang me up. After he rang me up, he didn't say anything about my sandwiches so I was waiting around confused. At least a minute had already passed since I finished paying so I asked the pony-tail man where my sandwiches were? He retorted "you asked for them to be toasted" as if I was an idiot for simply asking about my sandwiches. It was his fault for not telling me after payment that it would take a few minutes and for me to wait for the sandwiches. So his customer communication is garbage. Second, when the sandwiches came out, I noticed that the Italiano sandwich was OVERLY toasted. The left side of the sandwich was blackened and the bread became hard as a rock. I told the staff who had served me that she may have burned my sandwich. Without saying anything, she snapped the sandwich away from me and went to get another Italiano sandwich for me. After waiting for a minute or two, the pony-tail man brought the sandwich out and just dropped it on the counter without saying any apology or anything. Who knows if they did anything sneaky to my sandwich while I wasn't looking. Anyway, this...
Read moreI recently visited the cafe at San Francisco Airport (Gate C 11), and my experience was less than satisfactory. Despite having only three people in line, it took an excessive 10-15 minutes to get through, which is frustrating in general especially when you're trying to catch a flight.
The staff seemed unorganized and distracted, often engaging in conversations and training sessions while serving customers. It became problematic to the point where other customers had to intervene and request that the staff focus on the task at hand. This behavior created an uncomfortable atmosphere for us waiting in line.
Additionally, the cleanliness of the dining area left much to be desired. Many tables were dirty, with trash both on and under the surfaces. I ended up having to ask for a towel to wipe down my own table, which would have been fine, but the worker seemed confused, eventually the tables were cleaned.
Overall, the combination of chaotic service and lack of cleanliness made for a disappointing visit. The food was good, not fabulous for the price. I would recommend looking for alternative dining options at the airport for a more pleasant experience.
The one star was solely based off the taste of my salad 🥗 and my husbands...
