Ruby Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in Milpitas

As a vegetarian, this food at this place is great! I usually get half pad Thai, half fried rice and a side of egg plant tofu. They claim that there are no eggs or meat in any of those items, awesome!!

So why the two stars? The lady that rang me up was unbelievable rude. I asked her for a couple of extra sriracha packets, and she absolutely through a fit, saying they only give one and I don't need more. She said, "are you serious!!?" with a very disgusted and disturbed face. I was baffled. Over two sriracha packets? Come on lady.

This restaurant is part of the Great Mall's Food Court, so don't expect cuisine here. It has regular Noodles/Fried Rice combos with Salads, Chicken, Fish, and Shrimp. Everything tastes good and the quantity is suffecient at the given price point. We prefer Combo option here better than some of the upscale restaurants, and since it's inside the mall, it makes us quick and decent option after long hours...

If you didn't order from Ruby Thai, then the cashier won't serve you anything. My companion asked for a cup of water and the cashier preferred he bought something beforehand. We already bought lunch from a different restaurant and thought asking for a cup of water from Ruby Thai would be ok, but turns out you should pay first.
