FiL FiL — Restaurant in Milwaukee

We ended up at this spot as we needed a quick spot to eat but something that would be potentially filling without a ton of calories and what a great find it turned out to be! I got a falafel wrap and it was huge and full of veggies! The flavor was on point too! The service was quick although the workers seemed to have a bit of an attitude but at least the order was correct. The place is on a corner in a plaza and you honestly would think to walk inside but it’s once place you want to check out. I will say the fries were not the best but I’m someone who really likes my fries crispy so anytime there any mush to it I’m instantly turned off, plus they were not seasoned that well. I will also note this place is open late which worked out great when we were looking for food again later that evening. The Philly steak I had later was sooo good too! It had tons of meat and was so full I had to eat it with a fork. I also thoroughly enjoyed the baklava which they do call it something else because it’s a lot thicken than a traditional baklava. I hate that I didn’t take a picture of the food. THIS WAS THE BEST GYRO that I’ve had in YEARS. The portions are definitely worth it ! Very affordable I spend less than $11 on just a sandwhich. If I had a second pita bread the meat extra meat would’ve been a second sandwich. BUT BOY AM I FULL With almost half the sandwich to go. Didn’t even get fries ! Again, big portion & I love to EAT. The Hummus was the most smoothest, creamiest hummus I’ve had 10/10. I was curios of what the leaf rolls (with rice) were and the person working was so kind and offered me a sample. The rice inside was definitely seasoned to perfection. Now that I think about it I believe I tried that dish else where but it tasted no where near the flavors of the one I tried here. I can't find the 100 star button but this place deserves more than 5! I love to cook, I love to eat, and one of my favorite foods is Mediterranean. I went to FIL FIL unassuming and without expectation, hungry after a long day of physical labor. As soon as I walked in I knew this place was going to be amazing by the smell of their spices wafting through the air. I have never had such incredible Mediterranean food in the Midwest. My mouth is watering thinking about it. And their take on cheesesteak is addictive!! I've been to every cheesesteak joint from here to Chicago and they easily have the best!
