So we stayed here on Saturday, April 2, 2022 as we had the Elton John concert to attend at the Fiserv Forum. First let me say that you can't find a closer hotel if you have an event at the Forum. We were literally a 3 minute walk from our hotel door to the Forum door.
The hotel is modern, our room was clean, the bed was comfortable. It had outlets available for charging but I guess I expected outlets in lamps and such that are super accessible for plugging stuff in. I mean it's a really new hotel. Other than that the room was great.
I know they had a happy hour like 4PM - 6PM or something like that with free beer and wine. We did not partake though we wanted to as we had to get to what turned out to be a disappointing early dinner at the Calderone Club (see my separate review!).
Sunday morning they had complimentary breakfast from 7AM - 10AM. Now I travel a lot and I eat a lot of free breakfasts but this one stood out among all the others I've had. It was undoubtedly the worst hot breakfast bar I've been exposed to. How do you make frozen waffles and pancakes that could literally break a window if you threw them? Hard as rocks. The powdered eggs were not edible as you had to try to drain off some of the water in the serving tray to get something dry on your plate. Yuck! Needed a slotted spoon to serve such wet eggs. Still sends shivers up my spine. The 'brown and serve' sausages were ok, and my sister said the corned beef hash was good but that was it on the hot side. I ended up eating a raisin bagel with peanut butter on it because the hot stuff was so cringeworthy. Don't let them lure you in with the complimentary breakfast here. That's the whole reason I couldn't give 5 stars.
I will also mention the valet service. This was the most professional and courteous valet crew I have ever seen! These guys were great and made the $32 overnight valet rate well worth it. Valet is the only parking option at the hotel... otherwise self park. I recommend using...
Read moreUnfortunately I didn't want to leave this review however the hotel and Hyatt corporate left me no choice. We have been Hyatt members for years and are actually appaled by this whole experience. We were in town for the weekend to watch a basketball game between the Thunder and the Bucks and we're fortunate enough to enjoy the game Courtside. Fast forward to today and I find out We are charged a 250 damage fee from our stay from spreading human feces on the wall in the bathroom. They claim they have pictures but of course the pics are not gonna have a room number because all the bathrooms look the same. The MOST disturbing part of this is during my stay there were a bunch of illegal migrants lined up downstairs againist the wall who also just got done eating all the complimentary breakfast that is supposed to be for the paying clients of this high end hotel. I am attaching pics to this review for proof. How shameful to more than likely take pics of a room torn up by illegal migrants and blame a man and his son to try and get reimbursed for damage done by others. I am a business owner in Kansas City Missouri and would never in a million years do this to anyone's business. After speaking to Anna the acting GM and Hyatt corporate they could have cared less about my experience and didn't even care that we were blamed wrongly for such a thing. I informed her we have been Hyatt members for years and have never had anything like this happen. If you review my pics Corporate tried to lie and said yes we have some migrant children staying there however my pics speak a different story. So in closing I will never stay at a Hyatt ever again and I would caution nobody else to either because they don't value the American good citizen at all. I also included the table with the ladies checking them in....
Read moreI was very disappointed with my recent stay. To start, we had paid for early check in on one of my reservations. I completely understand and appreciate that the hotel was sold out the night before; that’s great! However, when we arrived the desk agent was so rude and wouldn’t even let me speak - I was trying to ask about the early arrival and ask if I could put my credit card down and possibly queue the rooms so check in would be easier later, and she was completely dismissive. She then said “well I’ve been gone for two weeks and the system is different and I’m the only one here so I can’t help you”. So we left and came back around 4:30 to check in. We still were not able to get into all of the rooms, which again I am very understanding of, I get that things happen. Two of our rooms were changed from queens to kings in exchange for a “queen suite”, which we weren’t given. I will say, the gentleman who checked us in was at least nice during this interaction. One room was given keys twice to dirty rooms, making them go up and down and up and down (with one elevator out). One room was given keys that didn’t work multiple times, and the woman at the desk made my guest FaceTime her to prove the keys weren’t working; turns out, the lock was dead so it wasn’t our fault either. Everything just seemed so difficult and the service was so poor; as a Hyatt guest, you hope to feel just a bit of hospitality and welcome - not even over the top, but we felt that we were a huge inconvenience the entire time. For $400-$500 a night, that was the worst Hyatt stay I’ve experienced.
I will give credit where credit is due, the valet team was so wonderful, helpful and understanding. Everyone else should maybe rethink their choice to work in...
