MobCraft Beer | MKE’s Crowdsourced Brewery — Restaurant in Milwaukee

This is a reply to Andrew W more than a review of MobCraft. I love MobCraft beers and am very glad they made the move to Milwaukee. I haven't made it over there yet, because I have a toddler, a two month old and a dog. But I hope to get to the Grand Opening this weekend, and if I do I will probably have my two girls with me (the dog will stay home most likely).

Historically, many bars, pubs, and biergartens have been family (and dog) friendly. The parents grab a drink and socialize, the kids have a bite to eat, the dog sits under a chair, and everybody is happy.

Now I get that there can be problems here. If the kid(s) start throwing a fit in a space that is usually seen as for adults, then the parents need to nip the situation in the bud. Get the kid to calm down; if you can't, take her/him outside or just finish up quick and pay the bill. Also, once the clock starts getting past the dinner hour, a bar probably isn't the most appropriate place for children.

In general, parents know how their kids act and if they can handle a certain setting. Dog owners definitely should know. If the dog isn't going to behave in a crowded place, leave it at home. If it can't handle being around other dogs, leave it at home. But if it's just going to chill out, it's nice to have a dog around.

Ok, after saying all that, I think it should totally be up to a bar to ban both dogs and kids. But you know what, this is Milwaukee, and it's nice for parents and dog owners to go out...

A crowdsourced brewery that brings that community spirit to everything it touches.

You won’t find many breweries like this one. They do the standards to a high standard and then they have wildly inventive beers that you had no idea could be so good. Their whole model revolves around people submitting ideas and then the community votes for which one gets made. Their ability to execute on people’s imaginations are what allowed them to grow so quickly.

The taproom is always hopping and there is an electric energy that fills the air. In the warmer months there is a lot more seating with the garage doors opening up and tables filling all the space they can. Your mind will be blown by the number of beers on tap and then blown again by the variety. There is something for everyone and something that you didn’t know you needed. If you like sour beers like I do, you will be in love with Mobcraft. Low Phunk is a perennial favorite and I have tried loads more that fill my funky cravings.

As I mentioned before, the community around this brewery is special. They put on a ton of events that are enthusiastically attended with many being regular visitors. I have not been to their Weird Fest yet, but one of these years, I will make sure to be in...

Did you all get your beer from a piss bucket in behind a dumpster? That is, a rhetorical question.

Your beer is below average, your uninspired food is unbearably mediocre, your shoddy service is below average, your setting/decor is again below average(looking like every other bar from here to Mississippi), your parking is mediocre, your atmosphere is once again me-di-o-cre.

Listen for your prices and food quantity I expect… to put it simply… not the below middle of the road experience I had. With the amount of money you presumably make. Egregious. I’m sorry, Mid-greious. Because, it was so awfully drab.

P.S. Free tip for you, COMPANY NAME IS WAY TO LONG. You just sell beer. Even fashion designers who just sell clothes know to go with short and sweet. Not long and arbitrary. You’re a bar for christ sake.
