Called to inform them that their tea burned my chest. Jess offered well the "water temp is what it is and it's well understood that the water is hot" I was on my way to the ER. My skin is bubbling and falling off. No water should be hot enough to burn off a layer of skin. She had no care just condescending comments and a face that was filled with defiance and a smirk. "Hundreds of people have been served here and they don't have an issue", what a poor and embarrassing excuse for customer service. There were no warnings from the barista, there are no warnings on the cup or anywhere in the establishment about the temperature of the water. I'm sure they'll change that starting tomorrow to save face. Hopefully anyway. They are well aware the water is too hot. by saying the temp is what it is, shows that. They also use two cups which makes the lid ill fitting. Hence, the spill.
I live very close, in the same building. So, l'm there often. They know my family well from purchasing so often. They don't care about anything but their bottom line and being a small business. We purchase at small businesses to be treated with respect and to support the local community. A simple, "let me look into that. I'm so sorry that happened. I will check the water temp" would have sufficed. Didn't ask how I was, if I was ok. What steps I was taking to take care of myself. Jess let her ego take over and she couldn't humanize my issue of being pregnant and having 2nd degree burns across my chest. She chose to condescend.
Even after I walked downstairs to show her my chest before I went to the ER. She still did not care. Nothing changed. I left with her shaking her head at me without an apology. If this is how they behave, well the community's business should be taken elsewhere...
Read moreMy husband and I are from the Chicagoland area, and we randomly wandered into Greige one day when we took a spontaneous trip up to Milwaukee. Our experience at Greige left us so impressed, that we remembered them for our wedding practically a year later. We decided to order macarons as wedding favors, and later we also ordered our wedding cake from Greige when the pastry team at our wedding venue was furloughed due to covid. We found out at the last minute that our venue no longer had a pastry team, and Greige did not hesitate for one second in making our cake. Jess was so easy to work with, I loved brainstorming with her different ideas and flavors and fillings. They specialize in customizing your order, and they even offer delivery, which I was so excited about!! They took care of everything. Fast forward to our wedding day, and the cake was UTTER PERFECTION. It was exactly what I had envisioned it looking like and tasting like. The macarons were SUPERB as well, we could not get enough of them! Every single person was raving about the cake and macarons, they were saying it was the best wedding dessert they’ve ever had, and my husband and I second that completely!! The design of the cake and macarons were so stunning and elegant, and the flavors were out of this world. You could just taste the love and passion in those desserts, and I would recommend Greige in...
Read moreWorking with Greige Pâtisserie was a wonderful experience. Greige was a dream to work with for our wedding! Miranda was so helpful and kind from the start, so it was an easy pick for me, especially after the cake testing. They have unique and special flavors and were extremely helpful with their suggestions, which really added to our wedding. They also were easily able to accommodate when I added on an additional 6" round on the side after the RSVPs had come in. Miranda and her team did a fantastic job bringing our cake concept to life. The top tier was Earl Gray cake, with citrus curd filing and Elderflower buttercream. The base was Chocolate, with raspberry preserves filing and Elderflower buttercream. The cake was decadent, a true celebration of taste, creativity, and it looked absolutely stunning with the florals left by our florist. Everyone loved it! In addition to the cake, our guests loved the mini desserts and macarons. We barely had any leftovers. Look no further. Greige Pâtisserie is without a doubt the best in French bakery in the metro Milwaukee area. Miranda and her team create masterpieces that are nothing short of jaw dropping and stunning. We love this place so much; I make the drive in from Pewaukee frequently just to pick up treats. I truly cannot recommend...
