I thought they gave me a half sandwich when I first saw the wrapped sandwich in my to-go box. Turns out it was just really small! For $10, I hoped for a bigger sandwich. The pics on Google are a bit misleading. The sandwich was pretty tasty, but the meat was only like 1/8" thick (or less). Also, I got the runs really bad that evening, and my sandwich from McGee's was pretty much the only food, other than fruit and cereal, I had during the day. So, all in all, I probably won't eat here again.
Edit: I changed my review from 3 stars to 1 star due to their ungracious response. They claimed in their response that my food sickness was due to ordering a reuben without cheese, a "pretty rugged sandwich that would might tax anyone's digestion if that were the only thing one had eaten all day." I'm fairly certain that ordering it without cheese wouldn't make a difference - if anything cheese would make it worse. A poor excuse for them. Luckily, since my review was dated, I realize I should now report it to the Health Department to get it on record with any other reports that may have been...
Read moreRegarding the atmosphere and location, they do have a dining area but it's on the smaller size, it's also not really a place that I would hangout and chill at. It seems like it's more like a convenient place for the other office business in the building to get lunch, than a place I would get together with friends. The service was professional and wait time was short.
Regarding the food, I wish the portion size was bigger or it was a couple dollars cheaper (but you can say that for a lot of restaurants nowadays). The meat did have a good taste to it, but for the price I wished they included a small bag of chips, they did include a free dill pickle. The other reviews made it sound like this place made the best sandwiches ever, but it was alright. But there's just so many more and better food places nearby in the North Loop area that I can't see myself coming back here or even recommending it. I would suggest Fuzzy's Tacos or Ramen Kawae in the North Loop Galley nearby, that have equal or better food and do have a more relaxing atmosphere and...
Read moreThis is one of the hidden gems of Minnesota! This location is tucked, I wouldn't say its hidden but it's tucked in a great location. Prepare to circle the area for street parking, there is a parking ramp near by but you'll have to walk a bit to eat. I will say, this place is well worth the walk. Customer service is top tier, they treat every customer like they're the only customer even in a jam packed location. The food is outstanding! I would take this spot over Potbelly's, Subway, and Jimmy Johns! They offer so much for a wide spectrum of customers. There's so many items and so many menus available. I'll be ordering catering from this place for by org as much as possible. Once you go, you'll be hooked. The space is maximized with seating, looks like they want you to have meetings here, gatherings here, and stay awhile. It's a bit tougher to grab and go. You truly have to shuffle and dance with customers when you're grabbing and go. Let me know...
