I struck out HARD with Gluek's. I won't even try coming back. Bars are not my thing, so I'm biased, but friends chose the spot. Sat down and it took a long time just to get the waiter back to take my order... he was pretty occupied with the tables up front. Not sure if he was just one of the two people working on tables or what. After what felt like 15 minutes of trying to make eye contact and waving him down, I finally make my order. Food came in REALLY fast. I ordered the schnitzel and it was TERRIBLY bland sand dry. The white sauce was watered down and was not like a gravy at all. What I thought were noodles were grainy like they were precooked and rewarmed. I was really looking forward to revisiting German cuisine... I should have gone for the currywurst. I did try one of my friend's mac and cheese. Similarly bland. Very chewy, strangely enough. Not creamy or cheesy at all. The atmosphere was too loud. I'd like to think that I'm not getting to the point of being old and crotchety, but I hated it. There was a line band that took more than an hour to warm up and do sound checks, and even then, it was way too loud, distorted, with frequent interference with mics. Only good thing about the hand was their energy and enthusiasm. To top all of this off, I found what looked like a spider in my beer. A live, squirming one. Not sure if it was there the word time or if it landed in my drink, but that was enough for me. Gross. (At least he was having a good time.) I must have had the worst luck. But I hated my visit here.

I drove from Wisconsin to surprise my friend for her 50th birthday here. However, our experience wasn't what we expected, since the reviews I read were so good. We entered a cool, trendy atmosphere and sat down. They weren't that busy, as it was 7:45pm on a Friday. It took 15 MINUTES for our server to acknowledge us, and he saw us come in. We ordered water to start, and I'm assuming the server thought we weren't good tippers because of that. Twenty minutes in, we finally got to order our drinks and the bavarian pretzel, which was AMAZING, by the way. After we ate some of the pretzel, a HALF AN HOUR LATER, our server finally came over to take our order. We ordered the Rueben Kugel and the Mac and Cheese with bratwurst. The rueben kegel was NOT good. It was like a dog food hush puppy, I do not recommend these! You get 5 dog food hush puppies for $15; for $3 a piece, you'd think they'd be edible. I even brought them home for my partner and he didn't like them either. The mac was good and the bratwurst was INCREDIBLE! All in all, we weren't impressed with the service. Apparently, watching the TV and talking with his coworkers is more important to the server, than taking care of his table. I am normally a 30% tipper, and I tipped him 12%. It's a treat for us to go to the "big city" and experience the dining, and we were very disappointed. I gave 3 stars for the food because of the pretzel, and if I could've, I would give zero stars for the service.

Went on a Friday around 545 and got seated right away. Right away, I noticed there were little fruit flies constantly needing to be shooed away. The drinks were ok. We ordered the beet salad to split. I will start by saying I am a huge vinegar connoisseur. This salad was suppose to have a balsamic vinegrette, it was not. It was a champagne or white wine vinegar. I honestly think they may have forgotten the oil. There were minimal beets in the salad. Our mouths were essentially numb from all the vinegar and we were unable to finish it. We had the sausage party and the BLT as entrees. The Potatoes with the sausage party were decent, the sausages were very bland. The blt had MORE VINEGAR! The cucumbers were soooo vinegary as well as the mayo/aioli they put on it. They do load the BLT with bacon so that was a plus. The tab for 2 drinks, a salad and 2 entrees was $70. It was absolutely not worth it. Of note the pretzel looked good, but I didnt try it. Overall I would NOT suggest going here, unfortunately. I had high hopes but will not be returning.

The food was absolutely fantastic! I ordered the Four Sausage Sampler. OMG... BEST, BEST, Bratwurst I've ever had!!! It was amazing and very flavorful. Definitely will go back for that again!! My husband ordered the Black & Bleu hamburger. He said it was the best hamburger he ever had. I don't like hamburgers really, But I tried it also, it was very, good and juicy. The thing we didn't like was our server. She was always rushing around but I never saw her do anything only stand by the bar and chat. She was never at our table to make sure we were OK. Or if we need anything else. It took her forever to bring our drinks (water/bar drink). We got our food from another server. Then when my husband finally got his drink he ordered. He didn't like it. It wasn't what he thought it was going to be. So when the server Finally came back over again after I had to flag her down and yell excuse me!!! we told her it was not good. Can he order something different. He had one sip out of it. She got a attitude with us and smiled. Then when she walked away to tell the bartender about the drink that he didn't like and would like something else. The bartender laughed and rolled his eyes. It took 20min till my husband got his other drink he wanted. But by then we already eat our dinner. So Food that we ordered 5 stars. But, Service was 3 stars. I will go back and try it again cause of the food. But I hope we get better service next time. If not, definitely won't be coming back. By the way I gave her 20% tip too. Why?? cause I'm hoping she was just having a bad day.. But she didn't deserve...
