If you’re looking for a Modern, Clean and centralized hotel in downtown MPLS. This is your hotel. I’ve had the pleasure of staying here a handful of times and it never lets me down. The decor is modern with bright colors mixed with clean lines. Each room is pretty sizable. They have a couple of cute sitting areas available as well through the hotel. Customer service on site is always professional and helpful. This a smaller/boutique hotel so you don’t have to worry about huge crowds when checking in. This hotel is around so many restaurant options and entertainment. You can go wrong if you select this hotel. I almost hate telling anyone about it. It’s so good.

Extremely disappointing! I had high hopes when I booked their most expensive suite Rm 521 for a birthday party I was having for a friend. Upon arrival we went to put our beverages into the refrigerator, opened the cupboard that was supposed to hold the refrigerator and it wasn't there. All we had was the wine cooling mini fridge, even though both were advertised. Then, I went to put some items in the safe and when I opened it, there were two smoke alarms in it. I checked the ceiling and found the locations they were supposed to be connected. Then the safe wouldn't lock. We called the front desk and they said maintenance would call with the reset code. Maintenance called and said they couldn't locate the code and they couldn't fix the safe until tomorrow. I spent 20 minutes online and found the unlock code for the safe and fixed it myself. When we checked in we were told the A/C would be going off for "about an hour" later that night. It did indeed go out, beginning at 11pm and was still out at 10am the following morning. After checking out, they charged me for two Red Bull that were never even stocked in their mini bar. When you pay over $600/nt for the best suite in the hotel, you expect the facilities to be well stocked and everything in working order. Unfortunately, that was not the case at The Chambers. So, I sent a letter to the management explaining all of these deficiencies, and I requested a voucher for a one night stay or alternatively, a 50% refund of what I paid for the one night stay. I got neither. They simply ignored my letter and never replied. I know they received it because I got a refund for the Red Bull. This has to be the most baffling behavior from a hotel manager I have ever experienced. This was extremely disappointing and is not what I would expect from a hotel of this caliber. Allowing the suite to go online when it clearly wasn't ready, or as advertised, knowing about the A/C issue taking place that night and waiting to spring the news on us until we checked in, charging us for items that were never in your minibar and then simply ignoring my letter explaining these and other problems we faced at your hotel adds up to simply too many issues. For these reasons, I could not possibly recommend this establishment. If management had been professional and had the courtesy to respond to my letter, apologize, and make some gesture to make things right, this might have been a five star review. Management's malapropos behavior delegitimizes the entire company. It was an extremely disappointing experience all around. The Chambers Hotel hosted our September 2024 wedding weekend and the entire experience was wonderful. We needed a space that would accommodate our guests who traveled from out of town, and in the end our wedding booked most of the rooms at the Chambers for our entire wedding weekend. Preceding the wedding, we were able to visit the hotel multiple times with our various other wedding vendors (Day of Coordinator, Caterers, etc) to plan out the floor plan and timeline. We were also able to use the rental spaces for the entire weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) to allow for set up and tear down on separate days from our Saturday Wedding. We loved having the entire hotel included in the rental (ART Gallery Rooms, Patio for cocktail hour, Upstairs bar for drinks dancing) and it was super convenient that guests just went back to their rooms or to bars downtown post-wedding. We struggled at times with slow communication from the hotel, but since we had more than a year and a half to plan the wedding, we had plenty of time and we were fine being patient. Immediately leading up to the wedding, communication was much more prompt, and we could tell they were prioritizing our event to the highest level. Throughout the wedding, they worked with us all day to problem solve a few issues that arose and they had plenty of staff available onsite for all of our needs. We felt the Chambers met all of our Wedding needs and compared to other venues we looked at around the Twin Cities area, it was priced well and very convenient for our guests to stay onsite (while also not being a traditional hotel "ballroom" wedding). We were also able to get ready onsite prior to the wedding in the Hennepin Suite and had plenty of space for hair and makeup, making a very relaxing wedding morning experience. Overall, The Chambers was very accommodating, a great value for us and our guests, and we would recommend them to other couples. The only reason not to book with the Chambers, is if you are in a rush and need ASAP communication -- if you aren't a patient person or it would bug you to wait days/weeks between emails, then I'd look elsewhere.

Stayed 4 nights 5/22-5/27. Location was fine. Most of the staff was great - super friendly. The room was on the 2nd floor and looked over the courtyard. I was pleased! Room looked great at first glance: spacious, clean, heated bathroom floor (!) on the 2nd floor. Upon further inspection, floorboards battered and torn up from previous water damage - not especially aesthetically pleasing, but no biggie. Phone didn't work - BIG deal (which especially applies to an incident that occurred on 5/25). First incident (not their fault): the hotel is across from the Orpheum. Friday night there was a concert. Two bucket drummers decided to set up at around 8 pm and played until well after 11 pm until Orpheum management kicked them out. It was excruciating! Here's where they lose 2 stars: came back to the hotel from an outing on Sunday, at 4:30. Went up to my room and glanced out the window at the courtyard and noticed a dj setting up below my window and several women lounging around in the courtyard. Went downstairs to the front desk to ask if there was a party setting up. Yep: Jamaican something or other beginning at 5 pm. I wasn't thrilled: told the woman I wished I'd been informed when I checked in and could I be moved. She was apologetic and said the hotel was busy that weekend, with no open room to move me to. Even though I've turned into an old lady who likes to go to bed early (LOL), I asked what time the party was going to end - 10 pm - and decided to suck it up. Loud - LOUD music for five hours, however, the party ended at 10 pm on the dot - YAY!! No problem. Just as I snuggled into the bed and turned out the light, I heard a fire alarm going off nearby and seconds later, the strong smell of marijuana wafted into my room. I waited a minute for the sounds of the cavalry coming to respond to the fire alarm: nope. I opened my door and sure enough: heavy smell of mj in the hallway coming from the room next door (221) and the alarm still going off. No one else in the hallway. Went down to the front desk - no one there - just a note with a phone number saying they'd stepped away. Just as I started to write down the number, the front desk person walked through the front door. I asked her if she was aware a fire alarm was going off on the 2nd floor - nope! Told her about the mj and smoke and asked her to note that I'd complained (there's a $375 charge for the smell of smoke in the room). She said she'd take care of it. Went back upstairs just as the three men in room 221 came out of their room, waving smoke out of his face. As they passed by me, one idiot said: "Hey, room 2-, I see you". GREAT. Now these idiots are going to know who complained and where to find me. And the bloody phone doesn't work. I wait 20 minutes, go back downstairs, and update the front desk person. She says she spoke to the men and they apologize. Way to put your foot down! Anyway, flash forward to checkout time: I told the person at the front desk about my Sunday experience and she was appalled - said she'd type up a note to the manager and that I should have been moved to another room - especially since the 3 male culprits knew who reported them and what room I was in. Haven't heard a word from management - at all. For the amount of money I paid for my stay, one would hope they'd have been a little more considerate! They could have informed me about the upcoming party when I checked in and gave me the option of being moved to another room. And hey - maybe fix your...

My stay started off on the wrong foot. Once I entered the hotel, I was greeted by the most condescending and arrogant character I have ever met. “Can I help you?” Now imagine this in the most nasty delivery possible. The tone immediately hit me as rude. We had arrived early. We spoke with Sebastian that night before to make sure we were able to check in early. (We will return to this employee later on). The employee who helped us was not Sebastian, it was an older gentleman. I informed him that we would like to check in early. Again, he responded in the same manner as before. “Not for free you can’t.” I never once mentioned checking in for free. Sebastian let me know the $50 fee was associated with this so I was prepared. At this moment, I’ve had enough patience with this treatment. I changed my tone, and provided direct responses now. “Sure” I responded. He said, “Well let me check how much that will be. The fee will be $50.00.” Again, with his arrogant tone. What I wanted to say was “Sir, I paid $400 for this room for one night, do you think $50 is going to make me bat an eye?” Instead I said, “Okay” maintaining the short responses. He looked up my reservation and saw that I had a reservation for the Hennepin Suite. Which is when he completely changed. He was pleasant once he saw that I was feeding the hotel plenty of money. He started joking around and singing as he typed on his computer. “Oh we have one available now!” He exclaimed. “Great” I shot back. He gave us our keycards and onward we went.

Side note: This interaction makes me want to never step foot in this hotel again, and never spend another dollar here. I thought long and hard about my rating for this hotel. I think this deserves more than a one star. I think there were some redeeming qualities that outweighed my negative experience.

Now let’s move on to the positives of this stay. The suite was absolutely stunning. You are immediately greeted with an open concept living room with a kitchenette. Tucked on the side; there is a half bath. Art is scattered throughout the room. Absolutely stunning views of the theatre district.

The bedroom is inviting and pretty standard. This room had its own separate thermostat. A chair to lounge in.

The master bathroom is the absolute BEST hotel bathroom I have ever seen. The heated floors, the soaking tub, the rainfall shower. This was LUXURY. You will not find many suites like this. I have stayed at numerous Loews hotels across the country. They do not reach this level of luxury.

Every staff member after our initial check in was helpful, knowledgeable, and pleasant. I want to address the most helpful of them all, Sebastian. This gentleman was made for a customer service job. He went above and beyond to help us. As stated, he helped us through the initial early check in process by telling us the details beforehand. He was a great city guide, and acted as an amazing concierge for the guests. He knew all the best restaurants, and city attractions. He was the absolute redeeming factor in this review. He seemed like he loved his job, and you could tell through every interaction he had with guests. If Sebastian was our initial check in encounter; this review would be a 5/5. Unfortunately, that is not the case.

Overall, this hotel is the best hotel I have stayed at. You will not find a better room/suite in the country. If you do receive the wrong employee, you will be talked down to in a manner that is...

We had booked the luxury room for a show we were attending that evening and we live in MN so we only booked one night. For offering valet, there was not a valet person outside to greet and assist us checking in. When we got in the guy (didn't catch his name) was welcoming and nice in getting us checked in quickly.

The room was amazing and beautiful. I did NOT want to leave that shower and bath tub since it was a raining shower.

What made it go down hill was, the constant people banging on pails starting at10pm. We tried to wait it out and it just would not stop there was absolutely no way we would be able to sleep.

We were excited to get dessert from room service since the restaurant we went to didn't offer many options. The menu stated "new York cheesecake with strawberry sorbet" and "chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream". We ordered both and also chips and dip the cheesecake was nearly just a pumpkin pie and when we called the restaurant they stated that they only have seasonal cheesecake. Why list that you have a new York cheesecake then? Or why didn't you tell us when we ordered? The chocolate chip cookie was 1 cookie broken into 5 pieces incredibly hard and the ice cream was 2/3 melted by the time we got it. The chips did not seem homemade as they claim. It was literally out of a box. The dip tasted like it was store bought and they just put green onion to make it look nice. Waste of $60

We decided to not stay the night and check out early that night. We went down and the staff on duty was a girl. She asked us why we were leaving early which we told her the room was amazing, the sound wasn't and the room service was terrible. she didn't really apologize but rather stood up for the restaurant stating the chips are home made, their food is usually really good etc. I didn't state much and I was still willing to pay because we ordered it. She didn't say it at the time, but when I got the email receipt she removed the room service charge which was nice.

Before we came down to the lobby, we called ahead to ask for valet to pull up our car. She stated it would be 5-10 mins. Ok no problem we were still packing up. We came down a out 7 minutes after that call and checked out. She took our valet card we typically give the person that gives us the keys back, but didn't think much of it. So we went to wait outside. My husband asked me to go ask her if we needed that card since we were waiting for about 10 mins at that point and no car came. So I went back in to ask and she's like "oh yeah you need your valeted car... Um yeah we don't have a valet person on duty right now... I guess I'll go get it" um what do you mean? We called over 20 minutes ago for it. You told me it was coming. It is advertised EVERYWHERE 24 hour valet service. And now you're telling me no one was going to get the car? She came outside about 3 mins later and told us that the valet guy didn't have his parking ramp badge so has to go ask security to get in and it would take a little time so we went to wait in the lobby. The car pulled up, and we saw it so we walked back out. The guy who brought it up didn't apologize for the wait or inconvience and stood there waiting for his tip. Didn't look at us in the eye but rather kept looking at our hands.

The room was beautiful and amazing. Best shower and tub. However, I will...
