Excellent new addition to Uptown in the former Paper Source corner store! Excellent coffee and matcha menu. I got the black sesame latte iced with oat milk. I was surprised and delighted to find that the black sesame component was black sesame mixed into a whipped cream kind of thing and then placed on top of the latte. It's a very nice and subtle latte that I would highly recommend to someone looking for a latte that isn't super sweet. I live for the Bogart's browned butter donuts and was super excited to try the matcha browned butter donut here. It definitely lived up to my expectations. It's very matcha forward with the caramelized browned butter taste rounding out more prominently at the end. I went the Sunday after opening day and there was still a wide range of products available on the tables and the shelves. I'd definitely go back when there is a bit more in stock. There's home goods (ceramic dishware, candles, throw blankets, Reed diffusers, quirky kitchen tools, etc), stationary (pens, erasers, notebooks and notepads, paper clips, etc), snacks (asian convenience store products like candy, chips, packaged baked goods, drink fridge), K-Beauty products (shert masks, serums, moisturizers, toners, etc), and miscellaneous items (blind boxes, kids' art...

Gabby saves the date! After leaving mosaic coffee next door being made to feel stupid about not know what to order for someone who doesn’t drink a lot of coffee.

My partner and I went next door because I was definitely still thirsty after leaving there empty handed.

I was a little more anxious about ordering at Moona because I know even less about boba tea, but I had one before and it was great. Only that was ordered for me.

I get up to the register and start my awkward inquires on making a good boba tea for myself while hoping for something close to perfect to what I imagine it to taste like.

Became even an even better experience sitting next to the owner and having a pleasant conversation. This had to be a fateful experience because I even found STONE PAPER!!!! It’s been at least 10 years since I’ve gotten my hands on the best writing paper I’ve ever drawn ink to. What a dream…

I love it here! As a blind box girlie, it was so exciting to hear that a new cafe/blind box/home goods store was opening in Uptown, and Moona Moono did not disappoint! Within the boundaries of the city, there is truly no other cafe like it. The atmosphere is bright and happy, with a curated selection of plushies and blind boxes to peruse. It seems like the owner, Angie, is committed to stocking new series, so I'm looking forward to coming back for future drops! As for the drinks, so far I've had the Black Sesame Latte which was super yummy and not too sweet, and the Yuzu Strawberry refresher which was just okay. That being said, it seems like Angie is carefully integrating customer feedback into the drink menu so I'm not worried. They've only just opened, so I expect that they'll work out the kinks in the menu over time.

Overall, I'm really glad this place exists, and I love that the owner seems intent on uplifting the community in addition to promoting her own store. I will...
