We (my husband and I) had about a 4 hour layover between flights, and needed to get something to eat for dinner. After walking around, we found The Blue Note. It looked like a good restaurant to eat, so we sat down. As soon as we walked up, the hostess looked at us then walked to the back and did not come back. About 5 minutes later, a waitress walked up and sat us down. She seemed nice at first. The tables had a menu QR code to scan and we tried to order from each of our phones, but it would not allow us to complete the order, which isn't a big deal. Online it said the drinks were free, and we asked our waiter if this is true and she said yes. So we both ordered and got food. Louis nachos were really good. When we got the receipt, we were really upset because we got charged extra for avocado when it came with it on the nachos, and our drinks were $5 a piece. When I brought it to the waitress she got a very nasty attitude and said that nothing is free at an airport, even though she did say the drinks were free because we pointed it out on the menu online. She was being very rude and very dismissive. I just left it alone and paid, and left. Overall I would definitely not eat here again or recommend it to anybody even if they...
Read moreI came to this place for the first time in my life. About two hours prior I had left the nursing home where my 89 year old father resides. I just finished telling him goodbye for the last time as he only has a couple weeks left before God calls him home. I was greeted by Sheila and she took my order. Shortly after, Sheila noticed I was pretty emotional and she asked if I was ok — You know… What bartenders do. Anyway, we talked and she shared with me a personal loss in her life and we connected on a human level. In today's climate with so much division in this world, two human beings connected with sympathy and empathy for one another; the way God intended. Ultimately I ate (food was terrific!) and I paid my bill and went on my way, only to find my flight was delayed and my return to The Blue Note was inevitable. Sheila greeted me again like I was a returning friend.
Employers should really appreciate people like Sheila and I sure as hell hope The Blue Note does because it’s employees like this that keep customers returning — even if it is in an airport hundreds of miles away. Thanks, sweetheart! You really made the day...
Read moreI had a drink here Monday Oct 31, my first impression was how loud the bar patrons were and after seeing how drunk the people were and were still being served I was questioning the bartenders for over serving. One customer fell out of his chair and could not get up yet he was served again. My next experience was asking for my check that totaled 21.00 for one drink I understand airport bars are expensive so I didn’t question it. I gave the bartender my card and when I reached the point of signing my total was 38.00 so I questioned why the price was more. I was told I got the check for another patron and to give both checks back and start over and would be reimbursed for the mistake. I then got a new check for the 21.00 added a 5.00 tip and went on my way. I noticed later when checking my bank account I was charged for my drink as well as the other patrons or simply scammed for the additional amount. I have looked everywhere for contact info for the Blue note and no information is available. Beware of this place, I ended up being charged 65.00 for a single drink with no way other than this review to dispute it. ...
