I travel through this airport frequently and I always hope for a better experience at the Gate A Starbucks. Today, no fail, even worse experience than the last. Employees talking about personal matters in front of the customers. As I was ordering, the cashier continued her conversation with the barista as if I weren't even there. The unprofessionalism at the counter I was ready to forgive. Then as the barista was making my cold brew she ran out of cold brew so processed to fill the cup up with water.... Me knowing this was my drink as she was about to call my name. I asked her if she filled my drink with water and she said that was how it was made. She's telling me I paid $5 for an ounce of coffee, cream and water. I almost accepted it but after taking a drink knew she was lying to me. I then went back and told her to give me more cold brew. She rudely responded you need to order your cold brew with no water. Never have i ever had to do this at any starbucks before and never has it ever tasted like cream the way it did today. Read moreIm an avid starbucks drinker and rewards member. This experience is not typical. However, I ordered that new macchiato thing with those new lids. I told the girl I wanted a straw and she informed me that her manager said customers cant have straws unless you buy a drink with the old lid. I told her to let me talk to the manager I just paid $5.45 and I'll drink it the way I want with a straw.... she hands me a straw without looking at me and continues talking to another customer ignoring me. I walked down 300 feet and there was another starbucks at the new southwest terminal and they had about 100 straws out at the counter to help yourself.
If they really had a shortage of straws why wouldn't the freaking manager take some initiative and go to the other Starbucks and borrow some or drive to freaking Sam's and buy a 5k pack for $5.99
Why would a manager tell his staff to tell customers that ask for a straw not to give them one..... I can see not offering one with the new lid, but if we ask we should get one.

I stood in line with my daughter to get a Carmel frappe for about 3 minutes. We then tried to order the frappe and Tori-14457 said we’re not doing frappes. I said it would be nice if you would put a sign stating that so we wouldn’t wait in line. “ Tori, said you’ll be alright you stood like for 2 minutes.” I told her it’s not even about that it’s about be courteous to others so they won’t be wasting their time. As I’m sure her time is valuable as well. She was like whatever and called the next person. Being in the service industry myself, it would have been nice if she’d say hey I’m sorry our machine is down at the moment but I’d try our sister location at the other Gate.
