Cafe & Lounge Italiano — Restaurant in Moab

A really cool and authentic Italian cafe with modern flair in the heart of Moab? Cafe Italiano is just what you'd expect when you walk into a quaint cafe in small town Italy with the scent of fresh pastries and freshly ground coffee beans filling the air. Modern decor and plenty of seating make this place great for anyone. We ordered Macchiato and a smoothie for our drinks, both of which were delicious! The cafe has a number of breakfast options as well from sandwiches to platters. We ordered the breakfast panini and a Bagel+Egg+Cream Cheese sandwich. Bread was fresh and crunchy and the ingredients were notably fresh. Neither sandwich was greasy or overloaded but the perfect amount to start your day. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with friendly and attentive service! This is the spot to go for great coffee drinks, fresh breakfast food options with a relaxed lounge with good vibes. Our time in Moab was short but we will absolutely be coming back to Cafe Italiano...

I must start with the professional and friendly (very friendly) owners. Deniz and Ilkin’s hospitality is unique in their care for customers and genuine happiness to provide good food. Deniz obviously has a lot of experience in hospitality, and Ilke has a sweet demeanor.

You can’t beat the quirky feel of the Gonzo Inn, where they are located. The upscaled look and feel of the cafe is welcome, after 5 years in the tired breakfast room. It’s a quiet place off of Main Street noise and traffic.

They included a couch with “Central Perk” above it, which fans of “Friends” will appreciate.

We loved having breakfast here every morning during our 6 day stay in Moab! The coffee was great - we tried the Shot In The Dark, hot, and the Frappuccino with vanilla flavor, and they were both amazing! We had many of their breakfast sandwiches and they were delicious! My favorite was their Breakfast Panini! I ordered mine without pesto or glaze and it was perfect. We also had their Croissant with Cheddar, Bagel with Cream Cheese and Egg, Fruit Parfait, Croissant with Nutella, and the Double English Muffin. Everything was made to order and was the perfect quick meal to start the day. Every morning the staff greeted us with a smile. They were prompt, friendly, and very courteous.
