An incredible café with owners and staffs who clearly take a lot of pride in their work!
I highly recommend this place. It is a hidden gem. Everything we ordered, particularly my hot chai latte with oat milk was amazing!
Our waitress checked in on us a few times without overdoing it. She treated every table like we were apart of her family- service was delightfully personal. Genuine hospitality provides the best customer service!
Menu opts’ wide- from breakfast, brunch, lunch, to dinner opts, delicious too! Wide selections of beverages.
Pancake platter (our waitress asked if my husband wanted his blueberries in the batter or topped over the pancakes, amazing how customizable and flexible you can have your food without the customer being high maintenance 😆)- 2 fluffy pancakes, I think this might be a wheat mix base (?!), healthy and delicious. We were offered with either reg syrup or maple syrup opts and a side of butter. This pancake is complete w. eggs, & bacons bc it’s a “platter” so it’s perfect if you have a big appetite. The blueberries were an additional $2 but it was worth it!!!
Omelet- stuffed with spinach and mushrooms with wheat toasts and home fries. Our waistress asked if I wanted ketchup or homemade chipotle sauce… ummm DEFINITELY homemade sauces please! :) we appreciate all things homemade! My husband thought they could even sell the sauce by the bottle too, yes it was that yummy. The omelet was neatly plated. Since I am a pescatarian, I opted out on the meat protein and substitute with avocado. They didn’t charge me extra, which is very generous of the cafe. Any additional toppings would be $1 each. Home fries was a little undercooked in my opinion to soften up the cubed potatoes, otherwise everything else was perfect and delicious.
Hot chai latte- they offer reg milk, almond milk, or oat milk opts. Besides the cup being on the smaller end, this cup of chai is ABSOLUTELY the best cup of chai latte I’ve ever had!! Delicious foam and the perfect amount of sweetness. I highly recommend it!!!
This is going to be one of our new places for recommendations to friends and family. We will definitely...
Read moreMinia’s Montclair is truly a hidden gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with a cozy vibe and friendly service that makes you feel right at home. We were so impressed the first time that we ended up coming back again—and honestly, we’re already looking forward to our next visit.
The food? Absolutely phenomenal. The waffles were perfectly crisp and dusted with powdered sugar, the grilled sausages had a deep, smoky flavor, and the home fries were seasoned just right—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. We also tried the French toast, which was caramelized to perfection, and the cappuccino was rich and creamy, served in the cutest enamel mugs. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned.
It’s rare to find a place where every dish on the table is a hit, but Minia’s nails it. Great food, great prices, and even better service. Easily one of our favorite breakfast spots in Montclair....
Read moreWhen I think about Minias Montclair the phrase "Hidden Gem" comes to mind. Hidden on the quiet street at 22 Lackawanna Plaza is a small intimate restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. Upon entering you are greeted by a friendly staff who sit you down and provide a menu of many delicious choices. I have to admit there hasn't been anything on the menu I haven't enjoyed and Rosa and Criss are so attentive and helpful at describing the menu item that you can almost taste the mental picture in your mind. I've eaten many yummy dishes at Minias Montclair and there is no better way to end your meal than with a hot latte made by Nana, As much as I would like to keep Manias Montclair to myself. It is a place full of flavorful meals and an attentive staff (Rosa&Criss) where everyone should...
