The portion size was way too small for the $33 price. I ordered the Molcajete Michoacano, but the meat was so thin and crumbled that it felt more like a sauce made of minced meat than an actual dish.

We saw a poster advertising $5 beers during happy hour, which is why we went in. But once we sat down, we were told that the offer only applied to one type of draft beer. It felt like false advertising.

We also had two draft beers, but the bill showed $14. I told the staff it seemed incorrect, and they brought us a second receipt—this time showing $20. Despite it being their mistake, the staff didn’t apologize and just left the receipt without saying a word. We had to go to the counter ourselves to ask for a third receipt and finally got the correct amount. If we hadn’t double-checked, they clearly would’ve overcharged us on purpose.

The servers kept interrupting our meal. Every five minutes, one of the two servers would come over and ask questions. It was excessive. Maybe they were bored because the restaurant was empty, but it made it impossible for us to have a proper conversation. Whether they had one or two servers, they should’ve coordinated better instead of bombarding us like that.

I’m never coming back to this restaurant. It wasn’t a relaxing meal, and if you’re not paying attention, they’ll overcharge...

We both really wanted to like this place after reading the reviews and looking at the pictures. Unfortunately, it did not work out like that. First, the good: As we walked in, the gentleman who greeted us was friendly, said hello, and took us to our table. The rice and beans were very good and the Al pastor was not bad either. The not great part: The basic well-cocktail was $15 (so we skipped that), the Carne Asada fries were soggy and had ground beef on them and not Carne Asada (they were $15 as well).

Our server was not very attentive, did not know the answers to any of our questions about the food or drinks, and once she dropped the food we didn’t see her again until I had to ask for her. After dinner, I asked for two boxes and she brought only one. I packed the food up and we sat there for a while waiting for the bill, and as I wondered where she was, I looked up and she was sitting at the bar playing on her phone, not paying attention to her tables (she only had 2 or 3). I then asked the gentleman if he was a manager, and he said no, he’s just a server, we told him he carried himself like an owner and really took pride in his job, and thanked him. He brought us our bill in the end and was definitely the bright spot in an overall...

We first saw all the great reviews that this restaurant had so my family and I wanted to try it. We sat down. 5 out of 6 tables were full. No customers inside. We waited for about 15 minutes to order our drinks. Waited another 30 minutes to order our food. Waited another 45 minutes to receive our food. Two cooks and two waitresses/waitors should be able to handle all five tables. They also didn’t have refried beans available and they ran out of rice. Unbelievable. Instead of turning away customers they continued to take on more customers when they were already struggling. The worst service my family and I have received. I never leave a review but, I just had to steer people away from this business. I totally understand the situation with COVID but, if you can’t handle the 5 tables than you need to start telling customers a timeline on the wait (30 minutes, 1 hour, etc). Over 15-20 years since I received this poor of service. Totally...

Authentic Mexican food with a chipotle-style custom toppings lineup to build-your-own-bowl & burritos combined with a warm and friendly downtown setting are sure to turn this new gem into a local favorite. -Good prices -Fresh Ingredients and big portions -Friendly spacious modern ambience -Eco friendly non-plastic takeout. -Bar with local beer on tap (Alvarado street brewery! Skip the lines and get it here) -Vegan Friendly Very reasonable prices for hefty portions of high quality food. I am vegan and was extremely well received at the restaurant, everyone was friendly and accommodating, even mentioning that they are looking at soy / tofu options for those who prefer no animal products. Thank you! Service 5/5 Food 5/5 Interior 5/5

What a find! La Casa doesn't come across too authentic and perhaps straddles a bit too much on the sports bar vibe. However look past the veneer, the joint provides just simply amazing tacos and other Mexican comfort food and absolutely reasonable prices. So why this good? They cook everything "home" style. All the meats are prepared as if it was done in small batches. They are flavorful, fresh, and generous. Each meat respects the ingredients and is put together with love and care. This is the exact style of Mexican food you can return once a week, heck even more than that. Service was great except on this particular day they got hit by a full house crowd during lunch only with 2 servers. We will absolutely return and cherish.
