We got a king sized bed with a fire place and it was perfect. The room was very clean and nicely furnished. Two sinks was very handy for getting ready quickly without having to maneuver around each other too much. The room comes with a little space heater but it was set up near a window so it kept kicking on and making the room stuffy and hot when we'd open the window to cool the room down at night for sleeping. We finally figured out how to turn it off. They have a small continental breakfast but no indoor seating area for eating it so you have to come pick up what you want and take it back to your room which in my opinion is great. You can stay cozy in your own room or they have a tiny patio with a couple of tables that you can sit on further down past the office. I think the only problem we had was with the parking. Most of the guest parking spaces weren't very wide or long enough for our vehicle and the second night the lot was almost completely full so we ended up parking out on the street out front. Otherwise, I loved this hotel. It's quiet and has an elevator for strollers or handicapped usage and stairs if you're able. The rooms are well furnished and you don't have to struggle to find an outlet to plug anything into. The fireplace gives it a romantic vibe and our patio had a nice view of a big empty lot filled with plants, trees, and wildflowers....
Read moreI little background is probably in order here. I’m a professional pilot and over my 40 year career I’ve averaged 7+ nights per month in hotels. I know good hotels and I know bad hotels. I also take the “stars review” very literally - 3 stars is good, 4 stars is exceptional and 5 stars are excellent in every way, as good as it gets. We checked in as a flight crew, the two of us each had a room. We were here two nights. The woman who checked us in on Thursday night was great and the room was very nice as well. Most important, the bed was very comfortable. The venue was great, very close to all the places you’d want to go. I was pleased with our decision to try this hotel... until the next morning. What part of “DO NOT DISTURB” do the cleaning maids not understand? When you put the sign on the door knob it’s for a reason. This morning, it happened again and this time they barged in on me. We had called the front desk and they knew we weren’t checking out until noon. The girl at the front desk didn’t pass that information along to the cleaning staff. There was also a noise problem last night and when I mentioned it to the girl at the desk, she didn’t even acknowledge me. The guy I’m flying with this week said it best they treated us like we were in their way. My summary is this, it’s a 4 star property with a 1 Star staff. Hence my 2...
Read moreI wanted to give a review because we really enjoyed our stay. We only stayed one night. It looks like an apt building on the outside and I liked that lol, great maintenance, well kept. Staff was polite, nice, and very helpful. I wasn't aware using a debit card of a $150 hold just in case you trash the place but that was waived due to system issues. That was because I didn't book thru them. Room was clean and unexpectedly had a fireplace. Its better to book with them personally to get all advantages of fireplace use and other discounts....they are rare booking thru any one else. Parking lot a little small but its free. No complaints at all. Breakfast was continental, in a bag which didn't bother us bcuz its a pandemic right now, makes sense. They followed safety rules bcuz of COVID which was great cuz important to us. They are 1.5 miles if that from the old fisherman's wharf. No smoking on premises: we don't smoke so that was cool with us. Hotel location was good as well, didn't appear to be a bad area, safe.. We will most definitely stay again. I don't give 5 stars only bcuz I believe there's always room for improvement, to ensure they keep striving for excellence! However they were really good to give 5...
