Honestly the coffee wasn’t all that good but I really enjoyed the pastries. Everything was going so well the cashiers/baristas were doing such a good job with taking in orders and taking them out the waiting was reasonable. However a few mins after I noticed a new employee came in she seemed to be wearing business attire so I believe she must be the manager. I noticed she started using the other register there was two registers one was already being used by one of the cashier/barista, a few mins passed she was still at register helping customers but that’s when it started going down hell and the baristas started falling behind. The other customers started to get annoyed and eventually started screaming at the manger which the manger then decide to take it upon her baristas and seem to I believe get them in trouble. After this happen the whole atmosphere changed which was as soon as this “manager” stepped in, it completely flipped the whole vibe of the cafe which mind you was going so well. If this is the current manager and if this is how it is every time she’s steps in then maybe get a manger who has experience in running a COFFEE SHOP? The whole point of a shop especially a coffee shop is to have a cozy yet comfortable and calm environment but this manager is doing the exact opposite. If anything please retrain the manager when it comes to common sense, ethical work, social skills, professionalism, and so on. Now if this can’t be retrained might as well hire a new manager. As for the employees that were already there you guys were and are doing amazing. Not so professional to say but I will honestly throw out the current “manager” or the employee with the business attire...
Read moreA Mixed Experience at Tidal Coffee: Scenic Views, Limited Menu Options, and Parking Predicaments
My visit to Tidal Coffee left me with mixed feelings. Sunday at 10 am, I was met with a bustling atmosphere, indicating its popularity. However, disappointment struck when I discovered that many items from their menu were unavailable, with only three salted options amidst a sea of sweets.
Despite the limited selection, the outdoor seating area boasted a picturesque ocean view and a charming water fountain, making it an enticing spot to enjoy a cup of coffee. However, the presence of persistent birds eyeing my meal added a challenge to the dining experience, but it’s ok I love birds.
Additionally, parking proved to be a mixed bag. While the availability was decent, at $1.50 per hour at the meter, the ever-watchful ticket guy kept patrons on their toes, reminding us not to forget to pay.
In summary, Tidal Coffee offers a scenic ambiance and a bustling atmosphere, but improvements are needed in menu availability, bird control, and parking convenience to fully enhance the...
Read moreAbsolutely LOVE this little coffee shop!! Have been coming here 6+ years every time my husband and I visit. The quality of their coffee is amazing! The staff is always friendly. And it’s right by an incredible view of the ocean!! We usually stay at a nearby hotel within walking distance and love coming here first thing in the morning before foot traffic gets busier. I believe it’s about a 10-ish minute walk from the aquarium really not bad at all. They also have food and have had some of their pastries over the years which are always so fresh and yummy but we mostly come for the coffee. There is something so special about grabbing a fresh hot/iced mocha, sitting on a bench enjoying the breezy salt air and watching the ocean critters while listening to crashing waves. We always buy a bag of coffee grounds to take home as well. Usually we get the Steinbeck coffee but decided to try Kona this time and it’s delicious!! This is one of my fav spots and highly recommend...
