UNCOMFORTABLE EXPERIENCE- do not recommend. Online the boutique calls out free appointment and +$20 a guest after 4 guests. So, when I walked in with my group of 8 of my favorite people, I thought there were no issues. Wrong. Immediately was told we only accommodate 6 guests. Then the owner stepped in and said to charge us $80. The duration of the appointment was a disaster- my family was not allowed to look through the racks, when they stood up, they were told to sit down. I pleaded with my stylist twice that we had come a long way and were excited to help me. I am an indecisive bride and being my first bridal experience- I was open to different styles. At this point an announcement was made that we could stand up one at a time and each pick one dress. We were told to be courteous of the next appointment-15 minutes into mine. We felt like we did something wrong and were not welcome.

I found this all very obscure given you are the only party in there for you experience- I am not sure if it was something we did- given how excited we all were and how quickly things turned sour I really can't say.

Overall, a terrible first bridal dress experience. I left feeling defeated and we collectively felt uncomfortable and were disappointed in the treatment we received. Very unwelcoming experience. Sharing this for all the future brides out there who are looking for a light-hearted and...

My experience at Magnolia was absolutely amazing to say the least! This was my first time trying on bridal dresses and they make you feel so special from the moment you walk in! With your appointment, you have the boutique to yourself with your loved ones and stylist which provides such an intimate and genuine experience. I visited during their sample sale month looking for a dress I could purchase off the rack as-is.

My stylist was Tina!! She was the sweetest and most helpful throughout the appointment. There aren’t enough words to express how special she made me and the day feel! She was super patient with me as I had a difficult time deciding between a traditional white dress and a superrr non traditional gold dress (y’all it was so hard to pick which route to go that they even made me another appointment later in the day to come back, so saying she was patient is an understatement). Tina was also very knowledgeable in the realm of alterations and gave you an idea of what each dress would need and also helped visualize different styling components you could add.

If you haven’t tried on dresses yet or if you haven’t found “the one”, I definitely recommend Magnolia!

I found Magnolia Monterey Bridal through a designer's website. I had fallen in love with a dress I found online and had to track it down. I contacted the boutique immediately to check if they had the dress in stock so I can see it in person. The owner, Tina, texted me right away and confirmed she had it. She was extremely helpful and answered all my questions. I made an appointment with her and flew in within a couple of weeks. When I arrived, I was just in awe. It is perfectly located on a popular street of Monterey and had the most beautiful dresses displayed in its store front window. The boutique is so inviting and makes you even more excited for your big day. We were greeted with a pretty Insta-worthy backdrop that had my name to welcome us in, which was a nice touch. They carry so many non-traditional, unique and fashion-forward dresses. I wanted to try them all!! Tina was so nice and very patient with me and knew exactly the kind of vibe I was going with. She is so knowledgeable and thorough as she took me through the whole process of what to expect from placing an order to production and ship timing to final fitting at the store. She wasn't pushy at all, but was very honest and really listened. We had a great experience and was worth the flight and long drive. I will definitely be purchasing...
