Hubby and I decided to dine at Michael Jordan‘s for brunch, continuing our anniversary celebration. When you walk in the restaurant gives a warm and inviting feel. We were sat at a four-top table in the middle of the dining-room. Kinda odd because there were some open booths directly across from us that would have given a more private and intimate feel especially because we let them know it was our 14th wedding anniversary, but they weren’t offered to us as an option. Nevertheless, we sat down and we’re greeted by a pleasant busser by the name of Miguelina. I already went in knowing what I wanted, which was the crabcake! I never pass an opportunity to try a ‘top-tier’ crab-cake. So I ordered it along with a wedge salad. My Husband ordered the New York strip with eggs and potatoes. I have to be honest and say that this crabcake has taken my #1 spot for ‘best crab-cake’! It was filled with sweet morsels of jumbo lump crab-meat (no filler) with a lemon aïoli, and a pesto drizzle. I added some fresh lemon juice and of course, Tabasco and it was an absolute delight! Now please note, the menu indicates MP (MarketPrice) and the price tag on this crabcake is $45. Definitely on the higher end but worth every penny! My wedge salad was also super delicious. Cold, crisp lettuce with a delicious house made blue cheese dressing topped with tiny bites of thick cut bacon. All it needed was some fresh black pepper and we were in business. Very yummy and nicely portioned. My Husband’s dish, was average at best. Yes, it was the $61 New York strip, but there was nothing to it, even with the chimichurri on the side. It literally came with two standard eggs and about a half of cup of baby Redskin potatoes. I was looking forward to the steak being beautifully seasoned as well as the potatoes, but both of them missed the mark. He also ordered it medium rare and received it medium. For a premium Steakhouse… unacceptable. If you’ve noticed, I haven’t mentioned our server. That’s because he had such limited interaction with us that neither my Husband nor I could remember his name. What was the most disappointing was that we looked around and every other table had bread service. We did not. We stopped the busser and asked her about it, and she said that it was a new complementary bread service the restaurant just rolled out and apologized that we were never given any. This was near the end of our meal by the way. I asked her for it anyway because everybody else seemed to be enjoying it. I am very glad I did. Once again it was a hit! The bread service consisted of miniature, buttery croissants served warm with a trio spread of cinnamon butter, blueberry compote, and apple chutney. One word - Delightful! And it really did accentuate the ‘brunch feel’. We would’ve loved to have received it without having to ask. It was uncomfortable and led us to wonder, “why not us”? I also wanted to note that hubby’s entrée came with a complementary mimosa. Unfortunately, it was not consumed because it was served to us in a dirty champagne glass. This experience was one of the ones I was very torn with because while my food was exceptional, our service, which means almost as much to us, was disappointing. Even more so because when you go to a “premier steakhouse”, you’re expecting “premier service.” We did not get that. Hence my score. Now, I did stop at the host desk and speak with the GM - Dallas. I wanted to inform him of my experience. I think it’s super important to let management know when service is lacking, especially when you’re trying to put forth a premium product. The casino is filled with restaurant choices, and we chose to celebrate our anniversary at Michael Jordan‘s. Unfortunately, the poor service will leave an unpleasant taste in our mouth. Dallas apologized and handed me his business card and told me the next time we come in to text him or email him. We’ll see… At this point, the ‘crabcake’ would be the only thing to bring me back.

I had gone to the Grand Central location in NYC many years ago and I remember it being the best steak I've had. Interesting, I told my server this and he said that this was different. I did t know what he meant by that. I didn't inquire any further. We ordered the MVP platter ($240) which consisted of 4 different cuts of steak along with an Italian sausage. They were all cooked to perfection (medium well) and the sausage surprised me as it was very good. I normally don't like Italian sausage as I find a spice in it not to my liking. But this was good at MJ. We ordered sides including the creamed spinach, mashed potato trio and Mac n cheese. The honey glazed rolls came with a small dish of butter and was one of the best parts of the meal! I could've ate the whole basket but I had to share with the other 3 people with me. We also ordered 2 desserts: baked Alaska and carrot cake. The total bill came to $340 including sodas. It was decently affordable considering it was a fancy steak house and everything was a la carte. Service was top notch from the moment we walked in from the hostess to our server. Place had a nice ambiance. Now to things that need improvement. I was excited to try the mashed potato trio because every great steakhouse has the best mashed potatoes right? Well, honestly the regular mash was not creamy enough. It was lacking more milk. It was nice they gave you a trio of potatoes. Now onto the dessert. The baked Alaska was very good. The carrot cake was more of a spice cake. It was served cold. It was dry and it seemed like it was made days ago, placed inside the fridge and brought out whenever an order for it was placed. A good carrot cake needs to be fresh and soft with a creamy cream cheese frosting. And again, I didn't see or taste any walnuts, raisins or carrots in it. It should be renamed "spice cake". This was the only item that was disappointing in the entire meal. I have a sweet tooth so I know a good dessert when I see & taste one. Other than this, the entire meal was to everyone's satisfaction. I expected to pay more but surprised at the total bill (not including tip). I always tip generously and the server was great. We need to take care of our servers, they really work hard. I would eat at Michael Jordan's Steakhouse again, but will not order the "carrot cake" and neither should you. There are better desserts on the menu.

This place was such an unexpected find—totally stumbled upon it by accident! Turns out, it’s a restaurant owned by Michael Jordan 😍 How cool is that?! The entire space is decorated with photos of MJ, his jerseys, and all sorts of memorabilia. What’s even cooler is that the walls are covered with stories about his life and the awards he’s won 😮 The restaurant is divided into two sections: a fine dining area and a sports bar. Since we stopped by for a late-night snack, we chose the lively sports bar area 😁 And lively it was! There’s a massive 180-degree screen playing sports games and news, plus a large central bar where you can grab a drink while watching the action. Such an amazing vibe! The food? Absolutely delicious! Let me share what we tried: 🌟 Chicken Wings They come in 1lb or 2lb options. There are 8 flavors to choose from, but here’s the deal: even if you order 2lbs, you can still only pick two flavors since it counts as one order 😅 We went with Chipotle Lime and Garlic Pepper Dry Rub. The chipotle lime flavor had a bit of spice but was super flavorful—so good! The garlic pepper dry rub was packed with an amazing garlicky aroma. The wings were fried to perfection—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Highly recommend these as an appetizer or a late-night snack 😜 🌟 Caesar Salad After all that meat, we needed some greens 🥗 This Caesar salad hit the spot! It had all the classic ingredients, and the dressing was perfectly balanced. Refreshing and delicious—just what we needed! 🌟 Calamari The calamari was fantastic! The squid was super fresh with no fishy smell, and the breading was light and crisp. It came with two dipping sauces, both of which were great. Perfect as a starter or small snack 😍 🌟 Grilled Salmon This was a healthy main dish option. The salmon was served with broccoli 🥦 and a house-made sauce. Mixing the sauce with the salmon was absolutely delicious—flavorful and satisfying 🤤 That’s everything we tried! The food, the atmosphere, and the overall experience were all fantastic. Highly recommend checking this place out! You’ll find it tucked away in the dining area at Mohegan Sun—hidden, but totally worth it 😜

Being a good food enthusiast, we walked into this restaurant, based on most recent top food reviews. I truly believe this restaurant is being overlooked and under-rated, for its good steak. A connoisseur I am, I have tasted steak of all cuts, sizes and different flavors from all parts of the world. Michael Jordan puts his name on the best of not just his comprehensive line of steaks, but the emphasis of how steaks should be cooked and tasted. Remembering the animated movie, Ratatouille, chef mouse ask his rat buddy to savor the taste of the grape and the cheese together. Well, I ordered filet mignon, blue-red/extra rare!, with blue cheese crust. It was loaded and bursting with lots of juiciness and flavor. Texture was so buttery soft. Every bite, more juice n flavor. This is a steak that you do not use any more salt or drown it in ketchup!! I was in heaven, savoring every bite of my filet mignon, like ratatouille. Lol. My friend had New York sirloin, medium well. I thought immediately, this steak will taste dry, as most are. Wow, we traded each other a piece to taste, and his sirloin has a different taste and flavor. Still juicy and tasty, bursting with lots of flavors. That was an awesome steak, too! I met chef Kevin Cirricione, so modest and sincere. He shared his knowledge of his refined international culinary expertise in quality and skills of cooking. I would highly recommend that you must try all the different cuts of steaks, with a group to enjoy the goodness of eating. Maybe you’ll find your favorite cut, maybe you’ll like all of them!! I wondered if they will have sampler steakabord!! That will be awesome!! The fresh and hot buns are equally delicious too. Staff are friendly and attentive. Fun to watch everybody having a good time. Including the chef who makes his round to check on the crowd. A good sign for good business!!

We were lucky to get two seats at the raw bar. The restaurant was booked til 9:00 PM and we had a show at 8:00. We were excited to try the restaurant located in the Mohegan Sun Casino and hotel resort. The restaurant is very nice looking, the service is pretty good and they seem to do well with a lot of dishes. We didn’t order any, but their breads look amazing. My drink was so so. It didn’t have a lot of flavor and tasted like very very watered down juice. I would not recommend the Jordan’s Crush. I could not taste pineapple nor orange juice, both of which should have been in the drink. The cherry that was in the drink tasted like toxic chemicals. They should try another supplier. The roasted broccoli arugula salad was really tasty. The perfect amount of dressing was added and we both loved it. I was surprised that the roasted broccoli was cold. I had assumed it would be hot or warm, but it was still very good regardless. The baked potato was delicious and my favorite time we ordered. The skin was soft, the potato was sweet, there was as plenty of butter, sour cream, and “bacon” which was thick cut smoky ham. I would have loved more green onion, but really it was my fave dish. The filet was good but not great. It was quite gamey and gristly. For $69 (the menu said $59 but our bill said $69 FYI). I would have expected a nicer piece of meat. It was cooked to perfection tho and we ate it with salt and pepper to add some flavor. The scallops were also cooked to perfection and tasted nice, tho a little salty. Overall, I can’t say that I’d go again. I’ll give that a maybe? 🤔 Our meals last week at the Keg were so good it made this a bit of a letdown. Food taste wise, I would rank this restaurant a little lower than a Longhorn Steakhouse for example, at a higher cost, but the atmosphere was very nice.
