Mo' Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food — Restaurant in Moore

Stopped on my way home from work one day and ordered a Regular. Got chicken and steak. It was pretty bad.

Not sure what the deal is but the line took quiet a while because they were weighing every piece of meat they put into the plate. Sometimes they would take something out and sometimes they would add in more. No opposed to that, but if you are forcing your employees to be that precise, it makes the service time take forever.

The chicken was severely overcooked, to the point that the plastic knife couldn't cut the charred exterior and I got a real knife once I got home to try. Was very sooty tasting and clearly had been sitting out for a long while. Probably prepping early for dinner rush. Again, this feels like a manager decision to have the employees prep super early and leave the food waiting.

The steak was also very overcooked and very tough because of it. They also gave a super small portion compared to everything else, even though you pay a little extra for steak. It had been sitting out for a long while as well.

The rice had been sitting out for so long that it had dehydrated a bit and was crunchy. Not sure if it was leftovers from another time or they cooked it hours in advance and left it out.

It's a new location, so maybe they will figure it out but these issues seem to be a manager dictating the crew to do certain things and it effected the quality. Probably won't go back as there are other options nearby that have been...

Very good food! It's a unique Hawaiian restaurant which to me the closest thing I can compare it to is to imagine a Chinese restaurant and a BBQ place got together lol. Their macaroni salad is suprisingly AMAZING. I hate macaroni salad I was in shock how good it was.

The prices are on the higher end, but the portions are really big. The "mini" is more than enough for one person! Quite filling. Good value.

The atmosphere is nice, it's very clean and sleek inside. Still has a nice flavor to the decorations while being more on the minimalistic side.

The service was hit and miss. The lady who made my food was amazing and very sweet. Above and beyond service! However, the cashier barely paid attention to me and was kinda rude, and forgot to give me and one of my kids their plate. Seemed like an average teenager that didn't really care about the job.

Made an online order and it got messed up (I blame technology). Nathan at the front register was really great, apologized for the trouble, and urged the correction. He was met with a slightly combative customer who arrived as I was waiting, but he maintained a happy composure and calmly explained the parameters of any extras that she was asking about. When I got my order, it was not correct due to a printing error, but Mollie was more than helpful! She was just as amazing as Nathan.
