Food:
The salsa is a basic fresh tomato macerated liquid with very little flavor. It is very fresh tasting. If you like this you will be okay with it.
The queso is standard Land O Lakes queso throughout the Midwest so this passes without commentary; it's Land O Lakes extra melt some add pickle juice, jalapeno, garlic, ginger, it varies and this restaurant's isn't memorable.
The tortillas I was provided - only 3 no more - were dry. At 7 PM on a Friday. They tasted as if the tortillas chef was told to use as little lard or shortening as possible which. Come on. It's the one thing that's a huge mess to make at home people come for these. I could have bought better across the highway at Alfredo's or Hidalgo's.
I ordered chicken enchiladas with rice and frijoles de la olla. Because I wanted to see what the frijoles would be like. What I got? Kinda pissed me off.
Two tiny enchiladas. Standard corn tortilla size. Filled with canned white chicken meat. Zero seasoning. Tasted like it just came out of the can. This wasn't cooked, tossed in something. Absolutely nothing done to it. The ranchero sauce? What sauce? There's coloring on the tortilla and it's red but that's it.
The rice tasted like it was microwaved in a bag.
The beans? Well. No onions. Just canned or maybe reheated very old pinto beans. Sadly this was the best part of what I was served. To really underscore the lack of flavor here.
Chips were standard nothing to talk about.
As for a dessert coming with it I was handed my check so I didn't ask. Others seem to get sopapillas. I didn't.

Service
Well. I asked for the de la olla beans. And then the boisterous man asked me if I meant borracho beans and I said no the other ones. And that was basically all the conversation we had.
I got one drink refill, one chip refill, one queso salsa refill, no tortillas beyond the initial 3.
And I think we could say something about the booth spacing, too, because these booths are narrower than Chili's are and this is a Mexican restaurant.
Atmosphere
What atmosphere? It's a room with lights in it. Furniture two decades old. The fountain is turned off. And they're not even making fresh tortillas in the evening on a Friday. It's a bad sign when I come for Friday dinner and I don't hear a single plate of fajitas being served, which also adds to the lack of flavor in the food because the air doesn't have that restaurant cantina smell going on.
I won't be back. I don't see the need to. There's a lot of competition in this space and it's not like this restaurant is massively cheap or something. It's just another one. And it's not very good.
Total cost with a $3 tip for a meal worse than I'd let myself eat at home was...
Read moreWent went in a group of 3 our waitress was nice when we got there all was going good, she was really slow but we weren't really bothered by it the all the sudden randomly everything was a bother,we had to ask for napkins repeatedly because she would give us 2 at a time l, it took her 5minutes to do one thing a a time and it was slow inside so it wasn't because she was busy, and just the attitude was unacceptable. The food took a really long time to come out and we ordered the fajitas one of ours was steaming hot and other one was cold and one luke warm like seriously, the chips and salsa was okay but the queso tasted sooo watered down it didn't have much of a taste, the tortillas we got were really floury and not the best we had asked for corn instead of flour, got extreme attitude and took 10 minutes and the food was so cold by then didn't eat anything ended up taking it home and trying to warm it up later, we had soapapias I think it's called one was really burnt and hard u could hit it on the table and it would crack the table, we had asked if we could switch it out if it's okay, also we always tip really well when we're out even if it's "ok" service but this was ridiculous we were there 2 hours just waiting for our food then when it came time to pay we were separate checks but she got that mixed up, had to wait another 5mins everytime we needed to say something she would walk off mid conversation and roll her eyes, absolutely ridiculous, the manager was no better I didn't want to complain but it had gotten so ridiculous I went to go do so but immediately I could tell it wasn't going to do any good, as we're waiting to pay she runs off with the card for 10minutes out of sight and we're still waiting 2.5 hours into it just now trying to leave, absolute horrible experience, not worth the money and the service is horrible, will not be coming back and will be going...
Read moreAs you walk in you’re greeted by a tortilla machine which I have always been a huge fan of since I was a child.
We were seated fairly quick and decided to eat at the bar. We got 4 Bloody Mary’s in total and I honestly think it was a waste of money.. we spent $6 a drink for a small shot of vodka in them. Most bars put 2-3 shots in one drink ESPECIALLY for the size it is. By the time we both got our second drink we didn’t really want to drink it beside the fact that we paid for it and couldn’t leave with it. Even tho it had barely any alcohol in it to the point you didn’t even taste it or feel it. Our waitress was sweet, she made our drinks as well so I think she was the bartender. The food was very disappointing. It had no flavor and was very bland. Since everything was a let down it feels like we paid $50+ for 4 shots of TITOS in my opinion. I do not recommend coming here, especially if your favorite part is chips and salsa because they give you chips and MILD salsa and warm cream. It was...
