this morning (12/20) i placed an On-The-Go order for walk in around 6:15. i only live about 5 minutes from this location, so i often come in on the weekends or before school, as i am a high school student. with today being the last day before holiday break my friends and i decided that we were going to have a breakfast party during our first class. i thought that it would be a great idea to go to dunkin and get donuts for my friends, and it is close to my house as well. i walked into dunkin around 6:25, i went straight to the line where you pick up on the go orders. i stood there for about 5 mins before anyone helped me, i then got the attention of one of the drive thru workers. I told her that i had a mobile order with 2 dozen donuts, and an iced coffee. she made my coffee, and even though i ordered it with french vanilla, there wasn’t any vanilla in it. she told me that my donuts would be right up. after waiting another 10 minutes, and watching numerous walk ins get their food before me, i asked a different lady about my donuts. after waiting almost 30 minutes since i placed my order, i was annoyed, because i was almost going to be late for school. i told her how i needed them ASAP, and she was quite rude. after explaining that i was waiting for so long, the customer behind me blurts in “that i don’t need to be a d*ck about the situation, because it’s the holidays.” i have worked in the restaurant industry, and my parents own multiple restaurants in the area, so i understand how stressful it is when you are busy, but 30 mins for pre-made donuts is way to long. after the other customer made that inappropriate statement the employees did not do anything, they laughed at the situation and didn’t say anything to the other customer, even though there were children in the building. after another 10ish minutes, i finally got my food, but in the past they typically put the donuts in a bag to make it easier to carry. when i asked for the bag the girl rolled her eyes and negatively said, “i guess.” i knew that this location has gone down hill in the past couple of months, but today it was worse then before. after today, i would rather drive the extra few miles and go to the other location down 150 instead of having another experience like this. i do...
Read moreI wanted to make you aware of a health issue @ the Dunkin on E Plaza Drive - Story: I am not feeling well - My kid forgot a snack and I was picking her up a snack and decided to get myself breakfast as well. Avocado toast with bacon! The storm was bad so they had a huge line. I noticed my order was a piece of bread with guac on it (not toasted and no bacon on it). I lifted it up to double check to ensure I wasn't crazy and it wasn't toasted - but no- fully cold - not toasted. I called 6 times with no one picked up. Due to the storm and line I can't blame her.... So I went back 30 mins later after the storm was clearing and explained to the woman behind the counter the issue, I gave her the receipt and she agreed it was wrong- no problem, she said she would have them fix it up. The woman was nice and offered a coffee as an apology - to which I thanked her but declined. I waited (patiently and silently) and thanked her when I got the food back. But then I noticed that even though the bread was toasted it was also green - and the clump in the middle looked the same- so I ran my fingers over the avocado - which had been toasted into the bread. I showed it to her and she apologized again. At that point I asked for my money back and left. Now for me, I'm a bit of a health conscious person- so the reason I asked for a refund is because if they took the food I touched and put it back into the toaster / heater / oven (Whatever they use) then its clear to me that my germs are now possibly contaminating other's orders and foods. And if anyone else has gone through this as well , then possibly I can get others' germs as well. While I will call the Health Department and leave a review I wanted to make you guys aware as well. Read moreToday, I went to Dunkin as I always do and for the 2nd time this week, they gave me cold bacon. I called and spoke with the 1st young lady and she said they keep their bacon at “ Room Temperature “, I explained to her that room temperature is not when the bacon has congealed grease still on the bacon. Then, I asked for the Manager Kathy, I explained to her the situation and she said that is how the company wants them to serve it to the customer. Below you find the 1st 2 pictures of the cold 🥓 and then the last 2 pictures you have the same bacon that was cooked in the microwave because it was so cold. There is different as you can see the amount of grease that came off of the bacon 🥓, and I am aware of how greasy bacon is, that is why I knew something was off with the bacon, not only how cold it was but also the amount of congealed grease on it. Please note if I have to cook my food after you claimed this how you always serve it which I know is a lie, you should lower you prices and a a disclaimer for your bacon with instructions!!!!!! I am sure the state health department would say otherwise. I will NEVER go back to this Dunkin Donuts, because honestly this is the only one in Mooresville Area, that I have this problem with.
