The TV in the dining area is my most distinct dislike about my dining experience. I go out to eat at a restaurant to talk with my table mates, not to have a giant, looming tv flashing at me. It's not a sports bar, so... Why the TV Aikou?
Like most Asian "fusion" places, the menu includes a smattering of dishes from across east Asia, none of them done particularly well.
Our spicy edamame were really stale and over-cooked/previously-frozen tasting, though the serving size was generous.
My chow fun was bland and lifeless, and the presentation looked like it had just been slopped from the pan with no considering that it was going to the table of a paying guest.
My friend did have a lovely looking piece of sea bass , and they are every bit and enjoyed it.
There was also sushi at the table that isn't worth mentioning. It was fine if you get most of your sushi at the grocery store normally.
Service was aggressive and then basically absent.
Not worth the time or money to dine at Aikou...

Their menu is inspired by the promise of Asian fusion cuisine, such as Japanese, Thai, and Chinese foods. We don't know too much about sushi, but there are plenty from which to choose. As for starters, we shared their scallion pancakes, which were not greasy, and the filling was tasty with a rice wine and soy mixture. For entrees, we ordered crispy sesame chicken and chicken pad Thai. The pad Thai had a slight kick. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the portions were generous. The prices were a bit higher than at other Asian places, but the quality of their food was worth it. Their servers were attentive without being overbearing. We can...

The $5.00 Thai Iced Tea was served in a plastic CapriSun-esque pack, and the whole experience was rushed. The waiter never greeted us. At the end of the meal, he dumped a check on the corner of the table without any acknowledgement at all, and as soon as I signed the receipt, came over to grab it while I was putting away my credit card and my phone was still on the folder, resulting in me having to scramble to grab everything. For a 2-person meal of $100, service was terrible with no plausible excuse, as half the...
