UNSAFE - UNPROFESSIONAL - DIRTY - RUDE
While it pains me to write this review, I feel it is a necessary message to those visiting this establishment and to those running it.
I love Tacoria’s food. They are a franchise. My introduction to them was through their restaurant in New Brunswick. A fun, inviting, well-staffed who are trained and exhibit welcoming personalities.
This Morristown establishment was the WORST! First, the staff there was all around RUDE, quick to snap, short-tempered, and abrasive...and this was just from my girlfriend ordering through the phone. When I got there, the behavior only worsened. They have a few young staff and another gentleman (I use this term loosely) with a large beard.
He is extremely short tempered, extremely rude and did NOT care to treat the customers with any sort of care or respect. He is also DIRTY. From his large DIRTY BEARD, which is uses a small patch as a mask. All medical alerts say, “A beard will now allow for PROPER USAGE of a mask. It breaks any seal the mask provides.” He has a beard filled with his disgusting germs AND he is handling all of our food. I would FIRE the staff immediately and train a caring friendly staff, who understood and treated patrons with friendliness and sensitive as we come out of quarantine. This person did not seem to care. Needless to say, they screwed up a simple order as well, giving us less food. Fine by me. As long as I’m not charged.
I will never come back here and urge you to try a different place, where this sort of pretentious, obnoxious and overbearing behavior is...
Read more-ATMOSPHERE: this is supposed to be a Mexican restaurant for tacos, burritos and bowls. The atmosphere is not Mexican at all starting with the music. Loud rap music with explicit lyrics (that are muted). Seats are very rustic and uncomfortable. The whole experience is cold not welcoming or friendly.
-SERVICE: This is a self service restaurant. Staff are not welcoming. We didn’t know how it works so we asked the people at the counter who are hispanic but kept talking to us in English (we talked in Spanish because this is a Mexican taco restaurant). The instructions were very vague. The menu is build your plate type. The client places the order and a buzzer is provided to the client to pick up the food once the order is ready. Glass bottle sodas have to be open using a bottle opener located in the middle of the hallway next to the napkins and straws. The client is responsible for cleaning after themselves after eating.
FOOD: The food is not great. Too pricey for what you get. The tortillas were no cooked properly (they were raw). The taco al pastor were not cut from a trompo and ingredients were missing.
PRICE: 3 Chicken tacos, 6 tacos al pastor and 3 jarritos (Mexican bottle soda)cost $60.
I personally do not recommend this place. There are other places that for the same price offer a better customer experience, quality of food...
Read moreLocation - The spot is very happening so you might find trouble with finding parking space or seating in itself. So take out option will work out best. But if you do get seating its a beautiful ambiance inside and outside. Service - The service was fast enough and staff was polite. However they did forget to call on me once the order was ready which resulted in cold food. Food -I ordered Fry avocado and avocado burrito box. The fry Avocado was out of this world!! amazing. But the burrito box was okayish. Since it was a take out and also order was given to me with a bit of delay the food was cold by the time i reached home. Even after microwaving the bowl, it was on a dry side. I would note though that I forgot to take the sauces with me in the take out bag , but I expected them to pack the sauces in the bag . I have had the same thing in their establishment in new brunswick which was must better as a take out as well. They have more seating aera there too.
Overall- I would say not bad. But they could improve on take out experience considering it customer preference given...
