NEVER AGAIN ! The restaurant is definitely overly hyped with all the positive comments. Forget being excellent, the food is not even worth a try. There were just 8 items (including just white plain rice) for lunch which was not worth the price of $20 per person. I understand it's a soft launch - so should be the price for the items served.

Let me go in order of how the food was placed:

  1. Assorted pakoras : SALTY, I was surprised of how salty these pakoras were - we could not taste more than a couple 2)White Rice : What should I say - Definitely needs to be replaced at least with Jeera rice for the price that you charge
  2. Dal Tadka : SALTY - not more than couple of spoons given the saltiness in the dal
  3. Saag Paneer : There is nothing great about this
  4. Mutton Curry: My biggest disappointment : NO SALT, Imagine you are eating mutton curry without salt- how would that taste??
  5. Chicken Kabab: NO SALT : No salt whatsoever and HARD as rock
  6. Chicken Tikka Masala : SALTY :The so called tikka masala which is supposed to be mixture of sweet and tanginess was no where close: In fact it was SALTY
  7. Sweet Custard: Some saving grace - But how do can you serve custard on a breakfast plate !! Surely not the right way to eat, I would have gone for a second serving but given the circus that I had to do to scoop it from the plate, I did not attempt for a...

An Outstanding Dining Experience – Highly Recommended!

We visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday for a send-off dinner with a group of six, and it turned out to be an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted, and our table was thoughtfully prepared and ready. The ambiance was elegant and inviting — with decorative walls and glass windows that gave it the charm of a conservatory.

Being a BYOB, we brought our own drinks, and the staff went above and beyond to make that enjoyable. They provided the appropriate glasses, kept the ice refilled regularly, and even brought out an ice bucket for our wine — such attention to detail made for a great start to the evening.

The service throughout the night was top-notch. Both the servers and the manager were incredibly courteous, professional, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We ordered a variety of appetizers, entrées, and desserts — and every dish was simply outstanding. The food was packed with flavor, and the chef skillfully adjusted the spice levels to suit each individual order.

For anyone who enjoys Indian cuisine, I can’t recommend this place enough. The food is delicious, the setting is lovely, and the staff are genuinely exceptional.

A big shoutout to the server Asin, manager Deep, and chef Aniket — thank you for making the evening...

A Beautiful Indian Buffet Experience in Morristown

I visited Chakra (5 Elm St, Morristown, NJ) for lunch with my sister and her husband, and it was a memorable experience from start to finish. Parking nearby was easy (and free on Sundays!).

The moment we stepped inside, we were welcomed with warm smiles and seated quickly. The ambiance is stunning, cascading floral decor, elegant lighting, and traditional Indian accents create a cozy yet refined atmosphere.

We opted for the non-vegetarian buffet at $20 per person, and it delivered both variety and quality.

Highlights: • Appetizers: Crispy masala papads and flavorful aloo bajjis, with chutneys and garnishes to customize your plate. • Veg Dishes: Creamy paneer butter masala, well-spiced aloo burji curry, comforting dal, white rice, and tasty veg noodles. • Non-Veg Dishes: The chicken masala curry was excellent, rich and satisfying. The butter chicken was the only mild note, slightly lacking in depth. • Served at the table: Juicy chicken kebabs and fresh butter naan both outstanding. • Desserts: Two light, sweet options to end the meal pleasantly.

Service was kind and attentive, and the entire space was clean, vibrant, and peaceful.

I visited this Indian restaurant on my visit to Morristown. This is located in a busy junction and mid of town. Parking will be challenging but after couple of rounds found parking in front of the restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is amazing and definitely feels special. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They had a buffet for their lunch so decided to go with that. The collection in buffet is very good for the price. Also they provide the Naan/Bread to the table and also the Tandoori chicken apetizer to the table. Those 2 were very good, rest of the buffet was good but I wouldnt try that next time. Noodles was good, gravy tasted bland to me, Overall it was a good experience and will visit this restaurant again to try their ala carte menu.

Being Punjabi, my expectations have always been high for Indian food. We moved to Morristown three years ago and have tried all local Indian food. FINALLY! A spot that is just perfect. Delicious North Indian food, great vibe, friendly service and atmosphere. Best part it’s BYOB. I highly recommend. Everything is great, please try the kabobs, lamb bhuna and especially the lamb chops. Just delicious. I hope everyone enjoys
