My husband and I went out for a Lunner, late lunch or early dinner. We arrived at 1:45 and sat at a high top near the bar after being greeted by a friendly server. He gave us menus and asked us which type of water we like to drink. Then got our drink order and appetizer choice. I selected the house cabernet sauvignon, which was excellent. My husband ordered his favorite scotch, Dewar's with a splash of soda. It arrived perfectly prepared. We received our appetizer and it was a plentiful sized plate of warm pizza dough balls, prosciutto thinly sliced and a delishious spreading cheese that I believe was brie. I will definitely be serving that at our house in the future. We chose our main meals and chatted in our very comfortable spot and admired the restaurant and bar. The other tables were 50% full and the TV's at the bar were on but it wasn't very loud and in fact it was quite pleasant. The two waiters were attentive and worked together and we were brought our meals in a normal amount of wait time. For my husband he ordered the Filet Mignon which was a perfect medium rare over a bed of asparagus and topped with thinly sliced fried onions. He ate every bite and said it was great. I had my favorite beef short ribs that were pulled and mixed into a hearty combination of tomato sauce and vegetables over a pasta that I had never seen before. My husband said they looked similar to the wooden tool used to get honey from a jar but thinner and I agreed. We were offered coffee but were full and asked for our check. The prices are pretty normal for two drinks, an appetizer and two beef main dishes. $100+ and we tip well for great service and the pandemic hardships that we all are into now for 3 years. Overall I think we will be back soon, my husband is interested in trying the house burger and I am into good food and service. If we were to be fair and give any negative thoughts, the parking in the Morristown area near the train station can be difficult at a later time but by arriving for lunch we didn't suffer and parked at a location across the street as the parking...
Read moreTown Bar + Kitchen isn’t just another modern American spot it’s the kind of place where real technique, hospitality, and local sourcing all actually mean something. I’ve eaten here before and loved it, but tonight I was lucky enough to sit in on a chef’s tasting with Executive Chef Jeffrey Marfil and it took things to another level.
First off, the vibe: clean, modern, welcoming. It’s upscale without being stiff. Service is tight. And if you’re lucky enough to sit at the bar, make sure Brian’s working. The man knows his way around a cocktail creative, balanced, and always dialed in to the meal. Drinks here don’t play backup they elevate the experience.
As for the food, while the tasting menu changes, the quality does not. What stands out most is the attention to detail and the commitment to local sourcing. Ingredients are pulled from nearby farms, and you can taste the difference. It’s not just farm-to-table buzzwords it’s real. Clean flavors, beautiful execution, and a level of finesse that doesn’t sacrifice comfort.
Staples like the lumpia, tuna tartare, charred octopus, and short rib still hold their own, but the tasting gave us a deeper look at what this kitchen is really capable of: layered, intentional dishes with thoughtful textures and unexpected touches. It’s intimate. It’s chef-driven. It’s clear this is a team that takes pride in what hits the plate.
Whether you’re just stopping in for dinner or lucky enough to sit in for a tasting, Town brings something special to Morristown. Already looking forward to...
Read moreHorrible experience! Went for late lunch around 2:00 PM and no one was there to attend at front desk. The server was looking at us and ignoring. We were waiting for 15 mins at front desk hoping someone will attend us. After 15 mins of long waiting the same server who was looking at us all this while comes and attends us. We ask him if we can get a table upstairs he says we have only one server it will be convenient for her if we occupy a table here, so we agree. Server were helping other people which we understand however we expect them to at least address us on table and take the order on time so we get our food, it takes few minutes.. Again the wait time for taking the order was 20 mins after we sit. The food came on time and was good no complaints there except the French fries which tasted bad. The server comes and asks us if we want the dessert as we say yes hands over the tablet/menu and never shows up. So we are finished with the food and now waiting for him (about 15 mins) to come give order for dessert.. At the end we were so frustrated that just asked for check and left. Would never recommend this place to anyone ever! Never has anyone made us feel the way this 2...
