EDIT:
Changing this from 2 stars to 1 star. I reached out to the manager/owner via the email they responded with on this review, and they never got back to me. Stay away from this restaurant.
Incredibly dissatisfied with my experience. No greeting from the hostess, I had to tell her “table for two” while she kind of just stared at me. She lead us to our table and then went to hang out with the expo and other servers. She really set the mood for the rest of this unenjoyable experience.
Waitress was polite and friendly, but that’s about it. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees and not once were we asked about refills. More on that later.
The food was not good. The “bad daddy” lite lager I had tasted flat, almost like it was nitro carbonated (maybe it was but there’s nothing said on the menu about this.) the chips were fried nicely but not salted, and the pimento cheese was average, you could tell it had been sitting under a heat lamp. We asked for medium on both of our entrees. My wife’s came almost rare, and mine medium rare. Had to send hers back and it came back the appropriate cook temperature, I ate mine because I already felt like I was a being an inconvenience to the waitress. We just wanted to eat and leave. Seemed like the people next to us also sent something back.
We sat right by the expo station and kitchen, I had to put my hand in the air to ask for the check. It is your job to check on your tables, ask about refills, and maybe be a little more professional especially after your table had sent something back. Our glasses were empty and you walked past multiple times, please be more aware of your customers needs. Didn’t ask if we wanted to go boxes either, although we would’ve declined had she offered.
The only reason I didn’t ask to speak to a manager about my experience is because we had a gift card from the holidays and we just wanted to LEAVE. Had I paid full price for this meal I definitely would have asked for a manager.
I will never, ever come back here, and I advise anyone who wants to take a chance to go somewhere else. You will receive much better food AND service at shake shack for about 20 dollars less for two people. It honestly felt wrong leaving a tip for this meal but the food quality was not her fault.
I work in the restaurant industry and I am incredibly understanding of the things that can happen, but I can tell anyone reading this right now that the employees working the Monday lunch shift (1/8/24) do not care AT ALL about their jobs and do not care about YOU as a customer or your experience. The only thing they were interested in was socializing by the expo (saw one person eating, really shouldn’t be eating where food is being ran). I would be mortified if I found out that experiences like this were happening in my restaurant. I hope this reaches the right people, don’t let your staff do this to...
Read moreAfter having visited many restaurants in the Triangle and Cary area alike, I have to say (with the utmost conviction) that this is one of my favorite places to eat lunch or dinner. I should also mention that of ALL the Bad Daddy's I have been to (NC, TN, SC) this location has the best atmosphere, an outstanding staff, and terrific food/outstanding presentation - all across the board!
My wife and I are burger veterans and admittedly, we are difficult to impress, with our varying tastes and preferences. I am a huge fan of the backyard nachos and although they are immensely filling, I always know how to save room for either the Pastrami Reuben or Sam I Am, depending on my mood. My wife thoroughly enjoys the Maui Tuna (I sneak some bites when she isn't looking) and she certainly can't get enough of those sweet potato fries; neither of us can!
I feel as if the food and our raving review goes without saying, as everyone I talk to about this location has said the same thing - "always fresh and always delicious!" But more important yet is the aforementioned outstanding staff... While all are amazing and attentive, I would like to take some time to highlight a young man that we NOW make it a point to dine with once a week. We had the pleasure of sitting with this young man while we waited for a table (a table we no longer needed as he began to take care of us), his name is John and he was the bartender for the shift that evening. He has made our drinks before AND brought them to our table when our server may have been busy. My wife loves her margaritas and we have personally gone up at the end of our meal to compliment the cocktails he crafts. He is always encouraging me to try new beers (Pernicious IPA is my recent favorite after wanting to break out of my Amber Ale comfort zone) and from our experience approaches every interaction with knowledge of menu and drinks (listed and not listed), sincerity, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to make you love Bad Daddy's Burger Bar.
John is THE MAIN REASON we spend so much time at Bad Daddy's and why it is our first stop on a night off or our first choice for a night in. Whether we are ordering to go, sitting at the bar, or sitting in the dining room he knows our names, faces, drinks, and favorites! He is the welcome we look forward to and we firmly believe you cannot have a Bad Daddy's Burger BAR without John. We've had a lot of bartenders over the years, but I speak for my wife and myself when I say - John is the reason we visit Park West; John is the reason we continue to go back to...
Read moreTwo weeks ago my family ordered a meal from this establishment. It was terribly wrong. I ordered four meals, out of them two of them had things on the burgers that were not supposed to be present. One of these was to the point that my brother could not even eat his due to dietary restrictions. When I contacted Bad Daddy’s they made us another one no problem. Even threw in a free entree for next time. That brings us to today. The coupon code expires tomorrow so we decided to get some food from Bad Daddy’s again. Going through the process of ordering online requires credit card information; this is important. Another important aspect is that the coupon code they gave us said to show the coupon at the store. My brother and I get to Bad Daddy’s and try to use the coupon. The woman working the front says that she can not take it because we ordered online. I explained how the coupon says to bring it into the store. She then said that we should have called. Trying to reach a compromise I ask if she can take off the charge and have the money returned to the account. She denied ability to do this. Then she flippantly says we next time need to call. My brother then explained that the coupon expires tomorrow. The woman then says not to worry about it and that she would just accept it. I’m sorry if it seems rude, but I can not just let one person’s word stand as proof. Eventually, we were able to get a physical card. Frankly, this is a rather insulting business practice. Give us bad service and a coupon that pulls us into more bad service? More so, the process by which they can not accept the coupon online but then require paying immediately online is egregious. This is especially so as, again, it does not say on the online waiver to call in at all. To be fair, every process has mistakes or missing pieces. What I can not stand however is how rude the woman at the counter was to my brother when he first spoke to her, basically blaming him for not doing something that he never knew to do. Overall, we do like Bad Daddy’s but everybody should be aware that they are not very keen on properly fixing the mistakes...
