I ordered the taco plate consisting of carne asada, birria and pastor, along with rice and refried beans. The portions were more than adequate. First of all the quality of the corn tortillas was high because they are made in-house. All three meats were meticulously prepared in the traditional manner of street food. The flavor of each meat was exquisite and very tasteful with the additions of cilantro, onions, carrots, a chile and a mild sauce. The rice and beans were prepared in a legitimate manner of home-made; definitely not out of a can. If you are a vegetarian, there are ample options for you. They will be producing their own agave spirits once their distillery is up and running. As a local of Morro Bay, it was worth the wait for this establishment to open up. The service was friendly and professional, and they were more than happy to answer any questions that I had, especially questions of which region of Mexico had influenced their cooking. Whether you are a visiting tourist or a Morro Bay resident, I highly recommend patronizing this local business. You will not be...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreFinally open! Iāve been curious for a while, so I stopped in for some dinner to-go ā hereās my take:
To keep it short and sweet: great tacos! The flavorās solid, the asada isnāt grisly or overly fatty, and itās cooked just right. The cilantro and onions taste fresh ā not like theyāve been sitting out all day. Rice and beans? Exactly how they should be. And the pickled carrots are a nice extra touch. The nachos? Also good ā no complaints there.
Now, the burrito⦠not my favorite. Why? Honestly, itās the tortilla. Feels like thereās too much of it, and something about it throws it off for me. Kind of surprising, since I usually prefer burritos over tacos ā most places donāt get tacos right. Lol. That said, Iāll be giving it another shot tonight just to be sure.
Overall: super friendly service, clean spot, good vibe ā and the tacos are definitely a win.
Itās become a go-to for me while...
