Morro Bay Art Association Gallery — Attraction in Morro Bay

This is a wonderful art gallery in Morro Bay that offers a variety of services for an artist. I used to show my work in this gallery, and my mom did as well. There is usually a theme for the works that are displayed. Roughly, the theme changes monthly. There is a fee to join the association and be allowed to display your pieces. It is a good place to try to sell your artwork if that is your desire. I myself never made a sale at any of the shows that I've exhibited in. For me, it is about sharing moreso than making a sale. Having my work on display for others to enjoy is what was important to me. Art is meant to be viewed by others, pondered upon, and made public for the masses to enjoy. It's a great feeling knowing that somebody unknown to yourself may be critiqueing your artwork as opposed to having your piece hanging in your house for only you and your associates to view. Excellent locale for area artist to display their work. Has been at this location for a number of years. Went in yesterday to show my photography website and see if the M.B. Art Center would be interested in any of my Morro Bay area images.
