I know that there's a shortage of workers everywhere, but this is the second time that I have specifically ordered a sandwich WITHOUT BACON. The first time was inside the restaurant. The gentleman at the counter repeated to me, then went back to the cooking area and told them to hold the bacon. He said it so many times that the cook told him, "Man I heard you! No bacon!"
Guess what? There was bacon AND a side of bacon. I didn't realize it until I'd made it to work and sat down to eat before my shift. Needless to say, I gave the whole meal away.
Then, tonight, I stopped on the way home from work. Ordered the exact same meal, grilled chicken sandwich, cheddar style, NO BACON.
The young lady taking my order was laughing so hard that I had to repeat the order. When I got to the window, I asked if she was able to hear me when I asked for no bacon. The one who took my order raised her voice and told me that I never repeated that part. I explained that I am ALLERGIC to bacon, which is why I am vigilant about making sure to specify NO BACON.
Another young lady came to the window to help. I explained to her that I am highly allergic to it, which is why I asked them to hold it. She repeated what I'd explained to the cook and asked for it to be remade, not to just remove the bacon, specifically because it's an allergy.
If they add it and remove it, I STILL GET SICK. It's an allergy, not a preference.
Welp... When I get home and get settled, I felt like I needed to check, just in case. Guess what was on the sandwich... Bacon. They had put it on and took it off again. How do I know? Because a big chunk was stuck in the cheese.
I give up. I'm not taking a chance to see if the third time is charm. No more Cookout for me.
The stars are for the second young lady, not the entire experience. If I could rate her separately, she'd...
Read moreuhhh, where do I start? First the line moved slower than molasses on a cold winter day. I order and proceed to the window to recieve 2 of the 3 meals ordered. Yes...2 of the 3 meals. I told the cashier we were missing a meal and drink and the response i was given was "we don't take orders from the window", that I would have to get BACK in the 30 minute line to RE order the meal they neglected to make. I explained to the cashier that I ordered 3 meals, 2 with milkshakes and one with sweet tea. She still told me to ride around and wait on a 30 minute line. I did ask to speak to the manager and she unbelievably told me to ride around and get back in the 30 minute line. Yall....it LITERALLY took longer for them to go out their way and be miserable than it would have to just make the order the WAS PLACED. The cashier even asked what kind of drink, but in front of the manager she got a sudden case of amnesia lol. You cant make this stuff up. All I can do is laugh at miserable people who go OUT their way just to be inconvenient. They made the rest of the customers wait EVEN longer. Who in their right mind who wait ANOTHER 30 minutes for food they ALREADY ordered? Cook out, you need to clean your staff up. If i didn't know any better i would think yall only hire from the...
Read moreWorst experience I've had in fast food. Went to order and asked for no tomatoes on my burger because I am allergic, (I did mention that to the employees as well) but I got tomatoes on my burger anyways. I went back to let them know and they took the burger back to "make a new one" as the employee said. As I was waiting nearby I heard one of the employees say that there is no such thing as being allergic to tomatoes. I said nothing and waited for less than a minute for them to hand me back a burger. They did not even bother to make a new burger! They just took it to the back, opened it, pulled out the tomatoe, and HANDED ME THE EXACT SAME BURGER. I was not aware and did not think about how fast they gave it back because I was already feeling uncomfortable with their kitchen conversations. But as soon as I took that first bite my allergic reaction started. We were close to home so we went there to get my EPIPEN but I came back the following day to talk to a manager to just inform them of what happened but they treated me like I was lying a said they didn't remember from the day before. I got zero empathy or compassion from them and was actually treated like I was the one at fault. Never going to another CookOut or recommending one to...
