Update 10/15: Somehow the bread got 0 flavor, meat 0 flavor, pickled veggies 0 flavor now. Still bad at following directions/requests. Please, someone needs to help step-up the banh mi game of Morrow.
OLD: The banh mi is above average, but they need to put more in it. The bread is nice, crisp, and flaky. The meat and veggie amount is on the scarce side. For non-Vietnamese, the weird copper color hairy looking thing in the Special banh mi is called pork floss (look up meat floss). It is not hair and that type of meat is actually expensive overseas.
The green milk tea was good, but I requested no boba and they still gave me lychee boba. Additionally, they are very bad at listening to directions because many times I requested no cucumbers in the banh mi because I have an allergy, but they still manage to put it in every time and I have to pop...
Read moreHangout is tucked away in a corner of a small shopping plaza strip mall type deal. It's a bit difficult to get to depending the direction you're coming from. Inside are 2 counters topped with bakery items like pork flossy buns and other types of baked goods. You can also find cha here and nam which seems to be made in house? Not entirely sure. I think it's a pretty solid banh mi spot located on...
Read moreThe menu is still extremely limited as they just opened up. They only had the special combo bahn mi (which I got). I also I got the Thai Milk tea with boba sugar crystals. Both items were delicious. The bread was what i expect for the Vietnamese sandwich. The flavor was very good as a whole. I won’t get this particular bahn mi again as I did not like the texture of the meats used (which is a personal issue, so I did not deduct any stars). I would say I wish they had more veggies on the sandwich, and spread out the insides so that it...
