I'm from Gary Indiana and I LOVE these "Chicago Style" fish and chicken joints.
I have been a regular here since I discovered this place about 10 months ago. They have so many things I want to try, but unfortunately, I order the same two things every time I go there.....
10pc Fried Chicken Wings Dinner. This is my favorite thing to order. The skin is crispy and not over-seasoned. Meat is nice and juicy, especially when fresh out the oil. Won't leave you hungry.
5pc Fried Trout Dinner. The batter on this is crispy and tasty just like the chicken. The Trout doesn't have an extremely"fishy" taste either. This is another item that won't leave you hungry.
Catfish Nuggets. I tried this one a couple days ago for the first time. This will also become one of my favorites. I don't know what took me so long to try this one cause Catfish is one of my favorites. Nuggets are nice sized and very tender. This one will fill you up as well.
All these come with fries, two slices of bread and their house mild sauce. The sauce is what makes these items 🔥 I always get 1 extra mild sauce.
Cake slices are good, but I'm not supposed to eat a lot of sweets, so I try to stay away from them.
Orders arrive quickly in 10 min or less, and your item will always be steaming hot when you get it.

Read moreI was so disappointed when I went to Sharks Chicken and Fish on 7/12/20. I have been before, but on this day the customer service was unacceptable. I entered the establishment and waited for my turn. When asked if I was ready to order I greeted the cashier and she responded with what would you like to order. That was the start of the bad customer service. As I was ordering she asked what type of fish would you like. At that time my husband came in and I said what type of fish would you like. My husband preceded to ask the cashier what kind do you have. Without saying a word or moving she took her finger and pointed to the menu behind her. I was stunned to see that she didn’t even try to tell us what different types of fish they offered in the establishment. To keep from saying something out of the way due to her rudeness I just turned around and walked out the establishment. I refuse to support and give my hard earned money to a place where I am treated as though my money or me being a customer does not matter. Employees need to be trained to show respect and acknowledge the customers in the same manner they would want to be acknowledged. This incident has caused me to not want to revisit Sharks Chicken...

The young lady at the front for One did not even make eye contact. Which is a part of creating a welcoming environment. She did not say anything when I came up to the front register until I ask how she’s doing, and she rolled her eyes, And then asked if everything was OK thinking maybe she was having a bad day and she completely continued to ignore me and proceeded to just ask” Do you know what you want yet?” At that point, I decided to leave, Customer service begins at the front door for all you know someone could be a (( secret shopper )) (code enforcement) ((health department)). Or a (GM) You never know who your next customer is, and you treat everyone the same respect and welcoming manner.
