The food and service here at Boo's Kitchen deserves more than 5 stars. Both are great. Currently the atmosphere is nothing to write about, but perhaps, in time, it will become more upscale. We were seated by the co-owner's elementary-aged daughter, who gleefully showed us to our seats. Our server is also the co-owner, and she took our drink orders and explained the day's specials. Non-alcoholic drinks were served by the young lady, who then also asked if we wanted water. Prior to learning of the specials, we knew what we were ordering. But then, the sausage, peppers, and onion special was described, and minds were changed. My husband ordered the sausage, et al as a sandwich, and he enjoyed it a great deal. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak ('cause I'm from Philly and was feeling a little homesick), mentioning that I was from Philly, and our server promised that it would be as good as any sandwich from Philadelphia. Got some sauce on the side. Well, if you're from the southeast region of Pennsylvania, you know how important rolls are to your sandwich. Boo's Kitchen gets theirs delivered half-baked, and finish baking in-house. Smart move on their part, because if the roll isn't good, it doesn't matter what's inside. My sandwich was absolutely delicious. I had ordered it without peppers or onions, and it was perfect. Big appetites may want to order a side because it's not a Philly-sized sandwich, but each of us brought home half of our sandwiches. Wish we had saved room for dessert because they all...
Read moreWe had the daily special, lasagna and my wife had chicken Alfredo she couldn't even eat hers and my lasagna was cold and not much flavor. We talked to the manager at the register and she never once apologized or even say sorry. She just said everyone has a different taste. Kinda rude about it. We didn't even complain about my lasagna. 2 other tables complained about the lasagna also. But maybe they have different taste also. Don't go here, you'll be sorry!!!
WOW!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I wish I had looked at all your reviews before I wasted our time and money at your restaurant. I definitely see a pattern and how you handle criticism is wrong. Don't attack their character and call them names. You called me a LIAR, anyone that knows me, knows I never lie. I'm glad you have it all on tape, maybe go back and look at it again or maybe you've got us confused with some one else that night. I know for a fact 2 other couples where very unhappy with your food also. I've owned my business for 43 years, and I only post negative reviews if I truly have an awful experience. As a business owner I sure hope you can turn it around and be successful. I've never been to New York, so maybe that's how's it works there, but I don't think it's going to work in Mt. Airy. We stayed at a bed and breakfast that night and told our host about our experience at your restaurant. She said that she would have told us not to go there. I truly hope you can succeed!! BLESS...
Read moreWe are from out of town this little town was just a stop along our lil road trip... we were all starving so we stopped in Boo's after reading the outside memu... when I tell you im impressed. We were passing through after a 7 day vacation and this was by far the best food we had thee entire vacation. Very welcoming atmosphere. Such a friendly staff, there were 10 of us and they quickly made space for us and we're very accommodating. Staff went out of their way to ask and ensure we were satisfied. The pricing is really not bad at all it was rt around 150.00 for all 10 of us to eat and the potion size was the taste way exceeded my expectations. When I tell you the Philly cheese steak deluxe literally melted in mouth, chefs kiss for sure. My hats off to the gentleman who cooks there. Side note he came out and spoke to us twice which was great. Trust and believe if we ever find our way back to the area we will definitely make our way back to Boo's... if your ever passing through stop in and try one of their delicious meals... wish I would have taken more picks over everyone's meals but we were so hungry and it smelled so good I...
