Outstanding! Good, clean, delicious barbecue. Not over or under seasoned. You can taste the meats for what they are and they are well accompanied by their seasonings. Tender yet not mushy or overly rendered. Just really nice and well prepared barbecue with clean simple flavors. Nothing hidden or masked by sauce. I enjoy the spare ribs without sauce as they're tender and seasoned just right (salt and pepper) and have a lovely light smoke. The brisket is outstanding. It's cooked to a medium perfection and really requires no sauce. It's incredibly tender with just the right amount of bite (as are both style of ribs). The coleslaw is classic southern American and delicious without being over dressed. It has a nice cabbage crunch. The lovely husband and wife make a great team and they really know how to make simple, clean and delicious barbecue. They're also incredibly polite and welcoming. I drive about forty miles one way for their take out and always get plenty to share. I highly recommend anyone make an outing or easy road trip for this glutinous treat. The portions are more than generous for the price. The meats are well wrapped and travel home just fine without loosing quality. This is my new favorite bbq place in central Florida. When we pulled up, you could smell the wood fires and the delicious food they were making. The owner was outside talking to other customers. He was very nice and thanked us multiple times for stopping in. The selection of food is very surprising for it being small. We had the four meat and four side feast which fed both my fiancé and me with so much left that we had it for dinner and there was still some left over for the next day. The ribs were out of this world as was the brisket - no knock to the chopped pork which was good as well. The collard greens were incredible, the Mac n cheese was so cheesy I fell in love with it. The baked beans had amazing flavor and, I’m not a huge fan of it normally, but the new Brunswick stew was killer. I don’t know what to say about this place. We were going to be new first time customers and tried to call ahead and got an answering machine. Took the chance and drove over there. Asked a couple of questions about the food to a heavyset older woman with the worst, nastiest, most condescending attitude I’ve ever experienced. Wasn’t expecting that. Needless to say she snapped at me that if we wanted ribs it would be over an hour and so we decided on the brisket and she nastily said it would be at least a 30 minute wait. We were so tuned off with the entire experience we just left. We will take our business elsewhere. Nothing justified treating someone this way.
