The only good thing I can say about the “Dinner with a Vampire” experience is that the host and actors were awesome. They definitely deserve to be in a better event than whatever this was. To be frank, the food was horrible, the “entertainment” was playing Werewolf with a bunch of strangers, and overall this was absolutely not worth the 50$ per person price tag.
I ordered the chicken and my fiancé ordered the Prime Rib, both were soaked in a bbq sauce (wish i knew that- i hate bbq sauce!!) and the “salad” was just wilted spinach leaves. The red velvet cake was not great either; the bad taste covered by the very strong icing on top. I’m assuming the food wasn’t great because the new location is at a british pub, and none of the food we got are british? So maybe that’s why it wasn’t good.
If I had known from their website that all the “show” was is a bunch of strangers playing the game Werewolf (even though we’re having dinner with a vampire? made no sense), I definitely would not have booked this experience. The website does not give any explanation into what you’re actually going to be doing while there, which I think should be changed so guests know exactly what they’re paying to go see. Overall, I feel like I wasted my money and would NEVER recommend to anyone.
I beg the creator of this event to think about doing 2 things: 1. Please please please change whoever you buy your food from and 2. please change the “activity” of this event. I think a story being told OR a mystery aspect would be a million times for entertaining than playing Werewolf. The entire room was bored and the ONLY saving grace was your fantastic host and scare actors. Nothing bad to say about them (Doc,...
Read moreThis group puts on such a great show! I went to Dinner with a Vampire last weekend and it was a hilarious blast. It was like going to a dinner party with a vampire, a weird but kinda sweet worm monster and a funny host. We played a fun interactive dinner party game (vampire included). The game kept me and my wife, along with everyone at our table, guessing and laughing. The food at the Magical Meat Boutique (new location!) was great. I loved the Ribeye sandwich and bloody cake. The atomosphere was perfect, just the right amount of spooky vibe but with the right splash of humor and fun. The host was hilarious, spitting off witty banter on the spot. The vampire was creepy and charming (my wife may have fallen in love) and the worm monster had some awesome dance moves. Can't wait to go to their upcoming Masqurade Ball at the...
Read moreMy husband and I did the Ghost Tour of Mt. Dora last night for my birthday. We live just 20 minutes down the road from Mt. Dora for almost 20 years. We have frequented many of their events over the years and their Christmas light display is the highlight of our annual drive around with the kids. We saw a side of Mt. Dora that we have never experienced before. Doc, our guide for the night was simply wonderful. He was funny and knowledgeable and made the tour so fun. I highly recommend the tour and I plan to go back to see the Pine Forest Cemetery and do their paranormal investigation of The Donnally House. 10 out of 10! The topper on an already...
