Village Coffee Pot of Mount Dora — Restaurant in Mount Dora

If you are looking for good coffee... stay FAR away from this place. I am a big fan of small coffee shops and this was the worst I have been to in my life. They should be ashamed to call themselves a coffee shop. I ordered two iced lattes and they literally grabbed a huge plastic jug filled with OLD “espresso” and put it in a cup... I have never been so appalled in my life. I was so shocked at what was happening in front my eyes that I didn’t say anything (I should of just walked out instead of paying) Me and my boyfriend took one sip and threw it in the trash. Biggest waste of 10 dollars of my life. They couldn’t even take the time to make the coffee fresh and the store was empty and charged me 5 dollars each for old coffee. I am disgusted and will never return or recommend this...

The only reason i gave a 2 was because the staff was nice enough and the shop is quaint but the coffee was horrible. I waited about 15 to 20 mins cramped in line behind maybe 4 or 5 other patrons to order than waited anotjer 10 mins or so for my latte. Having never been here i asked prior to making my latte how many shots vs oz. 2 for 16 which i usually do 3 but he insisted its very stong so i took his advice. It tasted like nothing. But i admit i did not return it it to have it remade bc i didnt want to wait another 30 plus mins for another watered down latte. Nice little coffee shop in downtown Mt. Dora. I had a gingerbread latte and my wife had a snickerdoodle latte. Both were tasty. Not so good that I had to rave about them but they were good enough to enjoy while we walked around and took in all the Christmas lights around town. The store itself is a bit cramped so eating in would be a little uncomfortable but it’s really not that type of place anyhow. They serve sandwiches for lunch and they have a decent ice cream assortment. They even have a few gelato flavors for those with a more refined taste.
