Horrible customer service, we came in the shop At 9:30- the shop busy on a Saturday night (group of 8) and bought ice cream sat down and at 4 mins til 10pm the girl behind the counter started yelling at customers walking in âWEâRE CLOSED!â I thought ok we have a few mins to finish our cones, no the girl behind the counter told us straight up to get out! An elderly couple that was behind us in line barely sat down before being told to get out, no warning, no nothing. Rude! We got up to leave and even picked up our mess from the table and exited the shop at 10:02 and the older couple was right behind us the worker came from behind the counter and LITERALLY kicked the door shut while the elderly gentlemen wasnât even fully out the door. We were in complete disbelief. The door hit his heel and then the 3 girls were laughing and talking instead of cleaning which we were told was to why we had to leave. We stood outside for 15 minutes eating our ice cream, watching the workers while they stood around inside talking and did no cleaning. Iâm appalled at the way we and all the other guests were treated. We will not be back, Ever! And I will make sure I tell everyone how disrespectful they were- not family...
Read moreThe ice cream at Scoops on Fifth is good, but the service was absolutely horrible. The staff behind the counter were incredibly rude, which completely ruined the experience.
While I was there, a Spanish woman with two kids who didnât speak English was trying to order, and the worker behind the counter was rolling her eyes at them just because they didnât know what they wanted. It wasnât even busyâthere were maybe 5-6 people in lineâso there was no excuse for the attitude.
The same treatment was given to us. The woman actually told others to skip us in line because we needed a little extra time to decide. That level of rudeness is unacceptable.
How you treat your customers says a lot about the establishment and its owners, and based on this experience, Iâll never be coming back. Great ice cream doesnât make up for...
Read moreSuper cute retro ice cream shop in the heart of downtown Mount Dora. (Totally felt like we were in an episode of Stranger Things!)
They have a TON of ice cream flavors- with a cone or scoop option. They also have a bakery with cupcakes and other baked goods.
I was excited to see they had a vegan option- Chocolate Cookie! My friend got the (regular) mint chocolate chip. Lots of Hershey brand ice creams.
I really wanted to like the vegan ice cream option- but it had a sandy/dirt like texture to me. My friend loved his mint chocolate chip in a classic cone, though! The place was busy every time we walked past.
There were only 2 employees working- both scooping and taking payments. They were nice but seemed pretty stressed out for how busy they were (July 3rd during a Fourth of...
