I have scrolled through the reviews & realized that I was not the only person in the last year who has had problems with employees from this location. They are rude, demeaning and lie. I have complained to corporate & instead of them reaching out to rectify the situation or even give someone a decent moment to speak about an experience. The managing staff & owner ignore and are completely rude to customers. I went through the drive thru in January, the employee was at my window and asked me my name 3 times, I repeated myself 3 times. She then asked me my order, I gave her my order and what happens.. she asked me to repeat it 3 times. By the 3rd time Iam truly frustrated and am thinking she is trying to be petty I raise my tone and repeat my same order as I had the 2 times before. She then states that she wasn't going to take my order. I stated I'd order through the window she said no you won't order at all. Gets on radio and tells someone to not take my order. I get to the window and the manager refuses to take my order. I try to explain the situation, they then say that she stated I just yelled at her for no reason and told me to come back another day. I come back 3 times after that no problem. The 4th time they take my order tell me to pull up and I wait 15 minutes for my food. The manager comes out and states Iam banned from ordering and as a courtesy they will give me the food I already paid for. I asked why and they stated the woman said I cussed her out and they do not allow that. I called corporate of course. Which they tell me to call every week until I get a response. It wasn't until corporate decided to push my complaint to a corporate manger that the owner finally reached out to me 3 months later. He stated through email to cease contacting corporate bc they don't have any basis on the decision and that I was verbally abusive and physically threatening. Which is confusing as I do not know how you can come to that conclusion from what transpired. This location obviously trains its employees to be rude and demeaning to customers and if you have a complaint they will not respond to anything unless it's positive. Scroll through the reviews. The owner only responds to positive reviews and does not care about true reviews or problems that happen in his establishment. Customers are not expendable and we should be...
Read moreThe food at this Chick-fil-A is generally acceptable, but the customer service at the Mount Dora location is consistently substandard—especially when compared to other Chick-fil-A restaurants. I have observed a clear and troubling pattern of biased treatment. When my Caucasian girlfriend places the same order I do, she is treated with courtesy and respect, while I am met with dismissiveness and hostility. This disparity should never exist at any business, much less one that prides itself on hospitality.
Because of a serious car accident, I often rely on Uber Eats or on others to help me pick up food. When I ask my girlfriend—who often goes after finishing a grueling 15-hour hospital shift—the difference is undeniable. Her orders are always handled smoothly, without backtalk, and even her requests for fresher items are accommodated with ease. In contrast, I am routinely made to feel as though my presence is an inconvenience.
The management at this location projects an air of arrogance, as though serving paying customers is a favor rather than their responsibility. When I reached out to customer service, instead of addressing the situation, they defended the unprofessional conduct of the staff and managers. That is deeply disappointing and undermines the values Chick-fil-A claims to uphold.
Sadly, due to my accident, I am limited to this location. Otherwise, I would gladly drive farther to Altamonte, Dr. Phillips, or near the new Fogarty development—where I have consistently received excellent service. The contrast is night and day.
This Mount Dora store is in urgent need of retraining in the true Chick-fil-A tradition established by Truett Cathy. At present, it operates more like a generic fast-food chain, tainted by bias and arrogance, and falls embarrassingly short of the courtesy and excellence that customers should be able...
Read moreWe love Chick-fil-a! The food is great, the servers are so nice and polite, and there is an indoor playground for the kids. They even keep antibacterial hand wipes by the playground door to cut down on the germs. Like all Chick-fil-As, they stay pretty busy. We use their app a lot to pre-order our food for curbside pick-up. The app has also been great for accumulating points to get free food. Through the app, they also reward you with free food (sandwiches, 8-piece nuggets, drinks) without having to purchase anything additional to get the free deal! They just do it to say thanks for being a customer! That just shows how great they and why people are willing the wait in long lines (but never a long time) for the great food and service! And the workers maintain a positive attitude and smile while being fast and efficient! I can't think of any other fast food restaurant that does that, nor has the quality of food Chick-fil-A has. Hopefully, Chick-fil-A will open another location somewhere in Eustis, Tavares, Umatilla, or Leesburg. They would be...
