There’s a whole lot going on about nothing at this place. We go on weekends and it’s still very slow. The lobby area is always clean, which is a plus, but empty. There is no music playing at all, so you’re just sort of listening to the quiet echos of people’s footsteps as they walk past, trying to figure out the concession situation — a bit confusing. You sort of just grab and go, & pay at the end by standing in a lengthy line for a single cashier to take everyone person by person. Staff at the concessions seemed more interested in talking to each other than making more food as there were no pretzels left in the pretzel case, no nachos made, and only popcorn available when I asked… on a Friday night for a movie premier. Staff seemed bothered when I had a question about the menu. Confusing but it was a good thing we brought our own concessions from home. The theater didn’t earn my money that night due to this.
The theater is nice, comfy seats with good back support, but the base of the seat starts to hurt your butt after about an hour seated. I’m a 32 year old man who’s 210lbs (mostly muscle) and found the seats to be just alright. Sound quality and picture quality was good. AC was pumping the whole time so we were not hot or cold, very comfortable. Thankful for that!
Generally, I think it was a good experience but the building needs more atmosphere when you walk in. It feels like a big empty room with nothing going on. Music would go a long way or even a couple flatscreen TVs on the wall showing movie trailers, but it felt like this effort was either underfunded or overlooked here. Personally, we felt the giant 12ft tall overbearing screens just to purchase a ticket are a little over the top to be met right as you walk in the door but I suppose some people like that sort of thing.
I’ll be back but won’t expect anything amazing here… it’s a good place for a low key movie night with the family but I wouldn’t say much...
Read moreArrived 30 minutes before our show at 3p. First time visitors, which is how Introduced myself to the person at the concession area. She was NOT in a good mood, very evident. She explained that the popcorn was self service (pre-bagged popcorn) and then we Go to the register and pay for the drink and popcorn. My wife noticed that there were no large popcorn so she asked for one. We just added to her sour mood. She handed us a large popcorn and off we went to pay. The popcorn was fresh and tasted good so we headed to our seats.
During the advertising ahead of the movie an ad mentioned the availability of a bar for adult beverages. That got my attention and I walked back to the lobby/concession area. I asked the person checking tickets if the bar was open, and they said yes. Walked across to the lobby and arrived at the bar area which was unattended. So, I walked over to the concession area and spoke with the same woman. I asked if the bar was open and she gave me a stern “no”. Figuring it was the time of day issue (it was 2.45p) I asked when does it open? And her rude reply was “when we have enough staff” as she stormed off. Totally unprofessional.
Worth zero stars, but we are here for the movie so three stars. The facility is big, spacious and well maintained. The seats are very comfortable and the screen is huge (we are in theater 12). Not sure if the other movie theaters here are the same, but this one is HUGE.
Don’t come here is you want a classy experience. Do come here if you want a bargain/cheap way to watch a movie in a comfortable setting. The experienced patrons, like the people next to me, brought in their hidden bottle of soda to avoid paying for a drink. We paid less than $13 for two seniors tickets and $25 for a large popcorn, medium soda and a...
Read moreEPIC FAIL. A group of 16 of us went to see Moana 2 today. We went through the concession line and got into our theatre. Everyone’s Coke and other pop was flat and tasted bad. So we checked out what was wrong. They had been having an issue during the afternoon, as the workers all said “management is working on it” or “corporate is on their way” we left twice during the movie to see if it was better/- never better. All the while hoards of people are being sold pop at $5 a cup.. seriously droves of young families all buying pop. I couldn’t believe that the staff knew the pop machines were broken and still enthusiastically selling the cups to people. It was crazy. I approached the manager about it. Friday, November 29th at 5:00pm. He did not care at all. As I was standing there he rung up 5 sodas for a young family— when he knew it wasn’t working and the pop was going to be bad. It was like robbing that family for $30. I really couldn’t believe it. He refunded my drinks no problem. But I kept inquiring as to why he was selling pop to customers that he knew was bad, he wouldn’t answer and kept giving company lines “we have 100% satisfaction, if you’re not happy we can…etc.” I’ll never watch a movie here again. It’s terrible and pathetic business practice. My wife who can easily shrug situations off even said “I hope your sister is not wanting to come back to this theatre for Wicked.” We’re new to the area. What an EPIC disappointment. I will happily share about the situation to anyone from Epic who would listen. It was absolutely...
