Not a lot for atmosphere it's clean and bright but no real ambiance just a come in eat and done which is ok. The service was very good the bartender and wait staff were very friendly and helpful answering questions and even giving recommendations for local seafood markets. The big reason for only 3 stars on the food was the seasonings and sauces were different and used differently than we've ever experienced usually the boil is done in old bay or some other boil seasoning this was just steamed with any seasoning added after I had a boil that had peel and eat shrimp, sausage, lobster and snow crab I've never had lobster or crab without drawn butter I've had it with other sauces but drawn butter was always available it was not available here and I was disappointed with the dipping sauces that were available also there was no butter available for the corn on the cob and for the shrimp I had to request cocktail sauce as it was not included. Now after saying that. The actual food was very good the shrimp were large deviened and split down the back and very easy to peel and done perfectly. The crab was sweet and properly cooked and very tasty even plain but drawn butter would have made it even better. The sausage was ok but it lacked any of the spice normally in a seafood boil I've gotten an andouille or other spiced sausage this was much milder like a ring baloney still good but lacking flavor. The lobster and corn on the Cobb I took to go as without drawn butter neither would be good in my opinion. Was it ok? Sort of depending on what you like or are acostomed to we're used to the seafood boils in the Carolinas and Cajon places I doubt we will go back. On another note the recommendation we got from them for a seafood market was great we've already bought seafood there for home. A final thought they have a decent bar and the drinks were a good pour and drinks and food were very reasonably priced in fact the seafood was downright inexpensive for the quality and quantity so if you like seafood prepared and served in that manner it's a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I decided to give this place a try tonight. We will not be going back. This was a terrible experience to say the least. The food was good, but the service ruined it for us. We were originally seated at a table between two other groups. We started out with the calamari appetizer. We ordered our entrees, and shortly after, the appetizer arrived. While we were eating our appetizer, another server came up to our table asking us to move to another table across the restaurant because a 10 top had come in that "had a reservation." There were plenty of other tables open that could have been pushed together or even had chairs added on to the ends of them to accommodate this party. But instead, they had us pick up our food, drinks, and plates to go to another table. The other server then seats us somewhere else and says that she will discount our food, and notices my husband walking with a limp. I informed her that he had just had surgery but here she was having him move. We also moved from him being comfortable in a booth to then a hard wooden chair. The server was constantly at our table saying "I'm sorry" while laughing that it made me angry. She completely ruined our experience tonight. I currently work in a restaurant. We would NEVER ask someone to get up and move once they were already eating. Now let me add in, my husband is black, and was the only black person in the restaurant. Was it coincidence that the only black person in the restaurant was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSeafood Palace offers a delightful culinary experience with its generous servings of shrimp in their po'boys. The shrimp are notably large and perfectly cooked, adding a satisfying bite to each sandwich. The accompanying fries are a standout, featuring a delightful seasoning that enhances their crispiness, making them a delectable side dish that complements the main course well. The flavors throughout the meal are robust and indicative of the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients.
While the food excels, the atmosphere at Seafood Palace leaves a bit to be desired. The ambiance could benefit from more character or themed decor to match the lively flavors of the dishes. However, the location proves advantageous, situated conveniently near other shopping and recreational activities, making it a convenient stop for both locals and visitors looking to enjoy a satisfying meal amidst a day of outings.
Overall, Seafood Palace earns a solid four out of five stars. The standout shrimp po'boys and deliciously seasoned fries are the highlights of the dining experience, showcasing the restaurant's dedication to delivering flavorful and generous portions. While the atmosphere may lack a touch of charm, the location and quality of food make Seafood Palace a worthwhile choice for anyone craving a taste of...
