Let me be clear the food was good and the service from waitresses was excellent, management was the issue. I struggle with how many stars to leave because the waitress was amazing, Rosie is her name. Food was good too. But the on staff manager today 1/16 at around lunchtime (somewhere between 12-1 ish) at the pleasant grove Mt. Juliet location was awful. He fired the sweetest waitress Rosie right on the spot about something dumb. One customer noticed their silverware was dirty so, asked Rosie for clean sets. Dirty silverware is NOT something they blamed the waitress for, because how could she know?! The silverware is wrapped by the time she sets it out, that’s something another role missed. Despite this, after the waitress went back to get them clean silverware, the manager fired her because of dirty silverware. The customers by us, that had the dirty silverware were outraged at this manager’s decision and behavior. So they started arguing with the manager, complaining that it was ridiculous to fire a waitress over something so trivial and not necessarily something she could have known or missed. I know that we didn’t know the whole story, maybe the waitress had made other mistakes but even if the dirty silverware was the last straw that’s kinda crazy. Plus it’s not professional. I feel so bad for the waitress, leaving her in tears in the middle of a busy restaurant and losing her job over something stupid. I’m hoping Rosie is ok but I’m also kinda shocked by the drama from a person in a leadership position. Maybe IHOP needs to beef up their management training, soon the food will start going downhill because unhappy employees will not care. Rosie if your out there, keep your...
Read moreThis is the second time we have eaten at this store. The first we had breakfast which was great. This time we ordered lunch I got a phili cheese steak my husband the chicken. BOTH WERE BAD . My cheese steak had chuncks that were so hard it cut my throat the onion rings were hard. I managed to eat one onion and about half my sandwich before I couldn't stomach any more. I stole a piece of my husband's chicken to eat and found out why he wasn't eating it. The crust was dark brown where either the oil was not hot enough or it was to old either way it wasn't palatable the skin on the meat was still uncooked the Brest meat was tough and dried out and his fries were cold. We brought it up to the waitress who did remove the chicken and gave us a military discount which offends me as a vet. In no way did she or her boss know that we were vets which means they are misusing the discounts and giving them out as freebies. I did not serve my country to have others use these discounts as freebies. We left the store almost as hungry as we were when we went in. We are currently eating Wendy's. Its nice you want to expand into other areas besides breakfast but your cooks need to be better. I have not been in the resteraunt business in over 20 years and that was Mcdonalds but I can tell you i would not have served either meal and been proud of it. The only thing going for them was the...
Read moreWas extremely busy just afternoon, 28 minute wait. The only disappointment was not the actual business related. But to watch a grown man (over 40) and his teenage age children literally race to the bench seat when the people that had been setting there get called to their table. This "race" was around my 20 something year ole daughter that is due in a couple weeks and is big as a house obviously pregnant! Then to set there for 15 mins like nothing is wrong. Am I bias? Naturally I am, but after the zero manners having poor excuse of a father figure and man. Was called up. Not only did my 75 year old mother, my daughter but a older lady that just walked in got to set down. Back on track to the outing. As stated, very busy but the team of 3 servers together got us our food, kept drinks filled and checked on us. Food was great and the experience was wonderful for everyone (except me still thinking how sad it is that general manners do not exist). Part of my faith in humanity was restored with a couple that were very aged separately stopped by to tease and enjoy my 2 year old grandson as did a few of the wait staff which added to the positive experience. First time there for myself...
