It was my boyfriend’s 35th birthday and he loves sushi. We were celebrating his birthday in Nashville, I wanted to take him to a nice sushi restaurant (sushi is his favorite). It was a party of 3, we purchased a Groupon and alerted the waitress before being seated. Great! We order our drinks and rolls and waited . . . waited . . .waited . . .and waited! We waited for over 40 minutes before addressing the waitress. When I informed her we would be leaving, she stated that our food would be out in 2 minutes. When I asked her about the delay, the waitress proceeded to tell us that it was busy. We observed no more than 4 tables being served (The venue is not that large and the décor needs updating). When our food came out, you could tell the waitress had an attitude. My boyfriend and I enjoy sushi and we KNOW it does not take 40 minutes to make sushi rolls. When we received our food, it was nothing special. Our dinner guest ordered a salad, but it never made it to the table! Before placing our order, we discussed with our waitress that the bill was to be divided 2 ways. When we received the bill, it was all wrong. When we asked the waitress to fix it, she proceeded with an attitude. Once our bill was corrected, we noticed there was an 18% gratuity charge added. Our party consisted only of 3 people. According to the menu, gratuity is included for parties of 8 or more. We asked about the gratuity, the waitress stated that because we were using a GROUPON according to the rules, they could charge us 18%! (I checked and it did not state that). By the way, that salad that never made it to the table showed up on the check as a soup that also never made an appearance! Needless to say, it was not a good experience! Read moreI think they don't deserve this one star. Had gone to celebrate my sister birthday and graduation party with family. There were two staff who were serving us. One of them started serving food she brought complementary chips in one basket we found bugs we told her that there is bug in this then she took it to Change the basket 20 minutes passed but she didn't brought that basket we told her trice about that basket and finally when we were ready with out main course she brought that basket. Secondly when ever we order something like refills, napkins, etc it took 10-15 minutes to bring like seriously had to wait a lot. Lastly when she brought check we give some tip though it was bad service but that lady who was serving us asked me forcefully for more tip I gave as per service I think I should not give that much tip also. When leaving the restaurant she again asked me for tip then I said sorry u know what she said " next time we both will not serve you people leave this restaurant don't show your fuc** face to me next time " and I and my family were standing there waiter rudely said that "just leave this place and don't come again" WOW thus was shocking is this the way they treat to their customer for that stupid tip I would have given if she asked me politely but this was disappointing. Then I went to manager to complain about the but she also didn't do anything about this issue he just said she should have not said this thing that it You guys should seriously train your staff and then ask for tip you guys don't deserve a single penny. Read moreI brought my family here on recommendation from some friends. We were a group of 18 from nephews all the way to grandparents. Food was good. They had this chicken dip in their apps that was real good. Cheese dip was kind of small. The fresh guac was a hit, although personally I found it a little bland. Needs some more spice. Overall food was good. The only reason I would not come back is service. IT WAS TERRIBLE. We came at a time just after lunch on Sunday so they had a few customers but were not busy. We also called ahead and told them we were coming. It was EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to have our waiter serve us in a timely manner. Almost waiting 10-15 min for refills or to even ask for anything. Not to mention they only had one server for our group of 18. Manager really needs to get his act together. There were other people there that could have helped our server too. But no one paid any attention to our group. Again the restaurant was not busy. Service was so bad my wife barely left a tip, and the waiter had the audacity to confront me about it in front of my family and embarrassed her. Completely unacceptable. Food may have been decent, but the staff is the worst I have ever encountered. Not coming back for that reason and will tell...
