I enthusiastically recommend Project Walk New Jersey to anyone who wants to take their rehab exercise to another level above typical physical therapy. I have been going to PWNJ at the recommendation of one of my physical therapists for 2-hour workout sessions about once a week for one year now. I suffered a spinal cord injury caused by breaking my neck in an auto accident 4/28/22 and I have been attending daily OT and PT training since June 2022. I feel that PWNJ and the great trainers have helped me build more strength in my legs to help me stand and walk longer with my rollator. Kristen and Leslie were so warm, friendly and welcoming right from the very beginning as were the trainers who are very knowledgeable and encouraging. I appreciate how the trainers push me beyond what I perceive are my limits and I am exhausted when I leave. I have described my visits as going to church because the people and the atmosphere at PWNJ is so positive and spiritually...
Read moreAmazing facility and staff! Everyone on the Project walk staff makes you feel comfortable, and constantly reminds you to never lose hope!! Would recommend this place to anyone with a spinal cord injury. My mother suffered a C6 incomplete spinal cord injury and each day she is at Project Walk she makes progress. Other rehabs only will push you so far and Project Walk will push you past your threshold and break through barriers! We have been to numerous rehab facilities in the tri-state area and Project Walk is by far # 1!!! They actually care about each and every one of their patients, and do whatever they can to get you up and walking again!! Don’t sell yourself short at an insurance covered rehab where everyone just shows up for a paycheck if you’re serious about your rehabilitation and want to do whatever it takes to walk again go to Project...
Read moreIn 2015 I started down a miserable road of spinal fusion surgeries. The last one in 2016 left me unable to walk without a walker or cane and I needed to use an electric mobility device in stores etc..I spent hours and thousands of dollars on conventional PT, personal trainer and aqua therapy all with minimal success. Then I found Project Walk NJ. The first thing I noticed was the "Way to Go!" atmosphere, very upbeat and encouraging. The staff here really do care about your progress. The therapy is focused on your specific needs and is intense. After 10 short weeks (once a week visit), I walked an estimated 65-100' unassisted for the first time in almost 3 years! I'm very pleased with the results. All I can say is if you're looking for help with mobility, put Project Walk on your list. I'm glad I did. Thank you Project...
