All American Sports Bar — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

My family and I came here last week to play pool and hangout. We ordered food, and our server was pretty good, seemed like he was new. Very nice, and checked up on us a few times and got us things we needed right away. I got the Cobb salad, and it was ok. I naturally am not a food critic (or claiming to be one lol), but I’ve been in the restaurant industry for over 5 years and a waitress myself for a few years. I would recommend them to use a different chicken, as it tasted fine but look very unappealing, to the point of me not wanting to eat it. The turkey was great but was difficult to cut into and eat, as well as the tomatoes being whole instead of cut up. Aside from that, everything else on it was great! My boyfriend had a quesadilla that was great also along with the rest of our food we ordered. Only other thing I would say is the fries, which were very generic. Nothing to write home about, but I feel like something that really draws people into bars is AMAZING fries, like beer battered or clearly hand cut and fried. For atmosphere: the lightning was extremely bright, and I feel like for most bars people want a bit dimmer lighting, not saying you can’t see but we felt like we’re in a classroom ha. We were talking a bit about it while playing pool and the owner (I believe it was the owner) dimmed the lights and asked us if the lighting was good then. Super nice guy and very friendly. I also want to add there was no music playing. Naturally the TV’s were playing football games, etc. but there was no music playing near the pool tables/game area. Only been open a few weeks but would not recommend this place. TVs had multiple issues connecting to their network and multiple unable to display NFL games after 20+ min of trouble shooting. Service was great at first but quickly went downhill. waiting over 20min for refills and forgetting orders after multiple reminders. Wings and pretzels were good, but overpriced for quality. also charging an extra amount for ranch/blue cheese on the side, but charging only to one bill without notification. On top of it, the owner asked us to move tables because a different group was coming in and wanted the seats we were sitting in. Who asks someone to move just because another group is coming in? All in all. lack of ability to show nfl games for a sports bar, lack of staff and lack of respect...

Staff was nice, atmosphere was fine, ordered two old fashions both times i got completely different drinks. Told the bar tender I didn’t like the second one and he just laughed. Food was gross, ordered the ribs they came out cold and tasted like the inside of the fridge. I told the server I didn’t like them she said she’d take them off the bill after I told her I didn’t want them replaced. She brought me new ones and charged me anyways.

Also ordered a patty melt and Cobb salad. The patty melt was just a regular burger between toast. It also tasted like it was precooked and was extremely dry. Same with the meat on the Cobb salad it was all dry and not really edible. Wings were ok just got get garlic parm.
