Summit Coffee Long Point — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

I am so excited that Summit is actually here! I would always visit the Asheville and Charlotte locations when traveling but having one in my hometown is awesome. The coffee is fantastic, we buy their espresso beans and love their lattes! The summer camp latte was an amazing treat!

Update: 1/25/25 super bummed with service and baked goods recently. I literally come to this coffee shop everyday of the week and recently bought a brownie that was disgusting… I was told I couldn’t be refunded or exchanged for anything it was so bad that the bite I took was spit out. I use to love everything I have bought there and I bring all of my family and friends to this establishment. I was offended that the new manager stated that it was a fudge brownie and nothing could be done. I have always loved summit and have been to all of their locations in NC and was so excited for them to be here locally. I personally posted reels and posts to get them business. To say I’m disappointed it an understatement. I miss having Tucker at this location and since the change of the guard the actual storefront isn’t as clean and organized…. Lots of gnats in the pastry display, splattered coffee all over the front case and just sad attitudes from some of the staff. Sad that 5 stars has to be removed due to bad customer service… don’t mistreat your local customers that are...

The staff and coffee is amazing always! The space always so clean making it comfortable for studying in the cafe. I stop by frequently and my lattes come out fast and the all the baristas make them great. However as a regular I am horrified at the hiring of the new store manager, Allan.

He is rude and disrespectful towards the baristas that are all hardworking and friendly. I’ve witnessed him yell at a young-lady employee about coffee beans while waiting for my drink. Many times I sit outside, and I have witnessed his aggressive movements towards workers as well. This was scary as customer; I can only imagine what the workers have to deal with if he feels comfortable yelling at them.

The previous manger Salam was wonderful and always made my drinks perfect while connecting with me. I’m so disappointed by who the company chooses to put in her place. Leadership should not be making the atmosphere overwhelming for workers by scaring them. All of this is truly is reflecting even towards me as a customer. Today I stopped in to grab an iced vanilla latte. The woman taking my order was very nice and my drink was ready quite quickly. However, when I got home and took the first sip of my drink I immediately spit it out - it tasted like vinegar. I thought maybe it needed stirring so I stirred it and took another sip and Yuck! Completely undrinkable. I don’t know if the skim milk was sour or what was wrong but it was bad. My first experience at this coffee was fine but...
