The Wine Cellar — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

My husband and I have been coming here for nearly three years since we moved to town. Joe and Martha (the owners) are so unbelievably personal with their customers and their knowledge of wine is vast and expansive. What first drew us was their terrific wine club membership benefits, and we take advantage of the five tastings and full glass (all for $5.00) every Thursday (same deal goes every Thu-Sat). The shop and members are very social too - it goes beyond just great deals on purchasing. The shop sponsors a softball team, a book club, many social events and parties throughout the year, etc. This is where we have made some dear, dear friends on top of discovering some of our absolute favorite wines that we never would have heard of elsewhere. The only wine shop in the area where you walk in and feel like you're family! I walked in three years ago when it was Wine Styles and signed up for a three month membership to the wine club. Three years later, a Pink Rabbit wine opener and a great group of friends has blossomed from that first encounter. Awesome wine shop with great selections, reasonable prices, and a great atmosphere. The owner (Gino, I believe) is super sweet and knows a ton about wine. Helped me pick out a good bottle to pair with a dinner I was planning.

This was my first time here, but I saw they also host wine tasting events, live music, and more. Will definitely be back for that!
