@Chris Britt and @Ed St.Geme (ps not locals at all) ZEROS WEREN'T AN OPTION....Also know if took me several days to finnally write this review as it was so upsetting. As many of you know. I do all I can to support local new businesses. So when my son messaged that a new pizza place opened. I was down to support. I WAS WRONG... The opening day experience ensures I wont return. I work late..usually till 8pm. My son was planning to work out at the gym and so the plan was for me to order on line and he would pick up dinner for the family on his way home. I tried several time to order online but no luck. It keep saying the place would be closing soon, even though google hours show the establishment would be open till 10pm. I was trying to do a online PK UP order around 830. But no luck. So new plan, I asked the kids to meet me there, to order some appetizer and I would be there soon, we would just dine in at this point. Then my son calls to inform me, you cannot order without paying 1st! AWESOME!!! So I arrive and ask the kids to order. The florescent lights are ridiculous! It made me nauseous and the large big screen TVS are blaring. The sever then explains to me, she's happy to take my order but then we would have to leave!!! Any orders would be for pick up only! I look around to count 20+ diners litterly sitting down eating in your establishment. More frustrating is that was the entire goal. I had been trying to order online for pick up only but now my entire family is here. They refused to allow me and my family the ability to eat in your establishment. MIND YOU THE TAB WAS $70 for pizza and wings...lol. Now I'm frustrated. I brought my entire family here BECAUSE YOUR WESITE DIDNT ALLOW ME TO ORDER ONLINE FOR A PICK UP. Now your telling me, after i dragged my entire family here i have to leave? That we are not welcome to sit and eat at your establishment. Meanwhile, there are over 20+people litterly dining in your establishment at the exact moment you refuse service to my family. I tried to explain that the only reason we were here was because your online app wouldn't allow me to order online for pick up.. This server said NOTHING. She had ZERO response. NO WORDS LEFT HER MOUTH. Outside of her blinking.....She just stared at me. This is while another 10+ employees watched and listened and also did nothing! Who have you hired? They lack care, empathy and basic customers skills. I guess servers choose who dines in or not. NO THANK YOU! Dont waste you $ or your time here. Out of principle alone, I ate none of the $70 worth of food. I don't care what it taste like. You refused my children the ability to sit and enjoy dinner that was paid for all of your employees watched and laughed....

Hubs was craving pizza after some shopping. After a quick search for what was in the area, we saw New Pizza place - Mountain Mike's. Given the very limited options for GOOD pizza in Burlington/Mt Vernon, we decided to try "the new place" with hope and excitement in our hearts. From the outside, everything looks great. Walking inside you'll find a well laid out dining area that's brightly lit and several TVs on the walls (I'm assuming for sports 👍). There were a handful of customers dining in with the majority of the table tops dirty (not gross, just not cleared/cleaned from previous diners). I'm assuming they either had a big unexpected rush or were short staffed for the evening.

Ordering was pretty quick & easy. Gal at the counter was polite but fairly neutral. We ordered a small Pikes Peak (all meat combo) and an order of the Loaded Mountain Fries.

I'm guessing the kitchen was slammed with online orders because it took almost 30 minutes for us to get our food. Pizza came out first. Looked pretty good. It came to us pretty warm (but didn't seem HOT with that great cheese pull that you look forward to with a good pizza). It was tasty though. Hubs liked the sauce & meat. Cheese was ok; nothing notable. Crust was chewy with some crunch at the edges. The "loaded mountain fries" came out about 5 minutes after the pizza. What a major disappointment! To start, they're Not fries. They're those weirdly seasoned potato wedges like the Safeway Deli serves. Secondly, my order was waaaay overcooked to the point the cheese was burnt & crunchy on the edges and the center overcooked dry cheese gluing the wedges together. The bacon, what little I could see, was also so overcooked I almost chipped a tooth. I tried to eat what I could, which amounted to about 4 small wedges and even they were so dry it took several sips of water assist in swallowing them.

All said, it was a "meh" experience. The pizza was alright. We might try it again if we find ourselves out/about in the area, but it's not a Destination Location we'll...

I feel terrible and my conscience would not let me sleep. My husband and I came in with our kid today and things got mixed up. We have ordered take out before and have always wanted the Himilayan pizza but it was never in stock. Friends down south raved about it. Today they finally had it! We were so excited. We played some arcade games while waiting and when our order was done we sat down. Our sons pepperoni pizza, an order of wings and our pizza. We took a bite and mind you I am east indian and my husband is white, we were both like hmmm this doesn't taste like what we thought it would. it was still Really really good but not what I expected for a "desi" pizza. Anyways, about 5 mins go by and another pizza came to our table and we were caught off guard. We only asked for a small pep and medium himilayan with wings. Which amazing. The aloha wings omg amazing. We told the waitress that we only ordered one big pizza and I believe there was a language barrier because she kept smiling so i mentioned oh wrong pizza and she shook her head. So we thought they gave us the wrong pizza so this is the correct indian one. It was soooo good. As were eating we see thecouple in the booth next to us didnt get there order. Now everyone realized that we got theres and our order. It never clicked in til the aftermath but we wanted to apologize for not figuring it out sooner. We feel so bad because we got a free pizza and the other couples food was comped. This place is amazing and the food is so good. Best thing to happen to Mount Vernon. We will definitelt be coming back. The owner is just amazing and they handled the situation beautifully, we tipped 20 dollars so i hope that makes up for a little bit. Our apologies. But for real, best pizza in town. The price may sound steep but it's worth also, i think the owners are east indian and that makes me proud. Not many of us in this small town....

I’m now 15mins on hold to check on an order I had waited 90mins for. I’ll update the review if I ever get the pizza. ——- Ok, we’re back. When we ordered using the app, we were quoted 75min - busy Friday, ok. When we hit 90mins I called the store. I was put on hold through the system for about 2mins, then someone picked up the phone, said “please hold” and put me back into the queue. I was on hold for 15 more minutes, then someone picked up the phone and clearly just set it on the counter. This lasted for about 5min and then my pizza showed up. I hung up after 20mins without talking to a “team member”. Driver was friendly and thanked me for the tip (by the sound of it, the drivers definitely deserve it). Pizzas were good! Fairly standard California-style pizza. They were baked to order (well done, as per notes). Toppings were good, pepperoni was crisp. Price, though… Expect prices 25-30% higher than Sahara. And at the end of the week, the pizza is just not good enough to justify that premium. Also the app is worthless; that’s not a slight against this location, but it’s a huge frustration if you want to order delivery. The app is just an ordering portal and points wallet. In a day when most delivery apps tell you if your driver has their seat heaters on, it’s disappointing to throw an order into the wind and just hope it shows up. It’s such a shame we lost Jet City. Mount Vernon has been a pizza desert ever since (only slightly unintentional pun that Sahara is the only other competition otherwise)

Very bread forward pizza, the sauce is almost candy sweet along with the lowest passable cheese product. The pizza I received was burnt and missing places where cheese wasn't even put on the pizza. The taste is comparable to a "Kid cuisine" Tv dinner. No one from the household enjoyed it, or wished to have another slice. Salad bar was not offered or mentioned, staff was unclear on if it was complimentary for dine in only or carry out. Staff had no knowledge or experience to speak on crust variety or popular pizza options. The 14-in pizza comes with 14 slices as advertised, my pizza came was somewhere close to 24 slices as the employee cut insanely thin slices no wider than my finger. The lobby was not welcoming, fox news was left running over sports and other family friendly entertainment on a main display, which pulled away from a casual and easy atmosphere. Overall a very poor experience for a premium price tag. I will not return, with so many competing pizza places in the city, so far a terrible opening.
