UMe | Tea & Snacks — Restaurant in Mountain View

I think this location is the prettiest ume tea so far in the Bay Area that I've tried. I've checked out Fremont, Newark, and Palo Alto locations so far and I think this one has more IG worthy decor that you can take with your drink. It's located in downtown Mountain View, the street was blocked off for pedestrians so find parking a block or so away and walk here. Upon walking in you're greeted with a bunny statue and you'll see pretty walk painting to your right, and a pretty Ume light sign to your left. There are no tables/chairs but they have "bench" type seating against the right wall.

I thought the popcorn chicken here tasted better than the other location - so crispy and flavorful! I loved their fried octopus! I actually enjoyed it more than the popcorn chicken, although both were very tasty. The portions were HUGE so I shared them with my family. I got the surprise bunny milk tea with regular milk tea, 30% sweet, light ice, and boba. It wasn't too sweet and it came with a cute bunny plushy! My friend got a cute plushy as well. Edit 2: waiting times have been absolutely atrocious the past few times I've been here, and they've mixed up my order during my latest trip, meaning another twenty minute wait.

They've previously had a limited time rose drink event, first ten people can get a giant glass "perfume" bottle with the jade rose drink for only $13, and for fans of floral drinks/sweets, all the rose drinks taste fantastic! The lychee rose was my personal favorite.

Was a very cute (and pink) place! If you spend $3 more to get the "ume rabbit cup", you'll get a super tall cup that has a fake bottom containing a little plushie inside. The passion fruit green tea with boba and lychee jelly was very fruity, going to try it with four seasons tea next time. The spicy version of the mini fried octopus was also good and interesting! I have been to several Ume locations including this one multiple times in the past, and I really enjoy their drinks. However, this past visit was the longest wait time we have had so far. It took 35 minutes for us to receive our 3 drinks on a weekday evening. It would be better if we knew an estimated wait time when ordering so that we would be better prepared to wait or know to not order if we are in a rush. The seating area also was filthy compared to usual, so it could have just been a very understaffed day.

The drinks itself were still tasty like usual, however my Dubai Chocolate Shake tasted as if it was melted and too runny. It was more like just milk than a shake, but the flavors were very tasty.
