After eating here a few times, I believe the menu is expansive, the food satisfying, and the service good. Interior is surprisingly nice, with good tables and decent music. The prices are reasonable, and offer a very strong value when seeing the amount you get. The take-out portions are full-sized and fresh, with short wait time. Although I was shorted a fork last visit, I was given tons of sauce and cookies without even asking. The Pad Thai (pictured) was fulfilling, but it was rather greasy and did not have quite enough meat and vegetables in it. The grease was the biggest turn-off, since most Pad Thai usually has an almost dry texture. This exposes, perhaps, some inexperience with one of the cooks. The green curry is tasty, and is house-made. It is about of par with some of the Thai/Asian restaraunts in ATL, but isn't amazing. That's pretty understandable, since they are a good 1.75 hours from an Asian market that sells some of the ingredients they would need to make it great. I look forward to trying other dishes, and if anything notable pops out, I'll be sure to update the review.

Hands down, the BEST chicken fried rice I’ve ever had — anywhere. From the very first bite, New China proves why they’re in a league of their own. The rice is perfectly cooked — fluffy but with just the right amount of wok-fired smokiness. The chicken is tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. Every scoop has that irresistible balance of flavor — savory, a little sweet, and unbelievably satisfying. What really sets New China apart is consistency. You can taste the love and precision in every single bite. It’s comfort food elevated to a five-star experience. Honestly, if chicken fried rice had a championship, New China would be wearing the crown. This isn’t just food — it’s an experience I’ll keep coming back for again and again. 10/10. A must-try. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 💯

So much better than the previous owners. Very clean, fresh and delicious! The new owners are very friendly and the food is excellent. Quit going here about 18 months ago, but after hearing so many people talking about how good it is, I had to try it again. So glad that I did. I, like many others I have talked to there, go a few times each week. Usually get the buffet to go. Don't forget to ask for the soup cup.

Called at 6pm to order General’s Chicken but wanted a smaller size, I was offered the combo. It includes an egg roll which I didn’t want and asked if he could replace it with snow peas. They didn’t have any but he offered me extra broccoli. He spoke English fairly well, I could understand most of what was said with ease and he was very kind, polite, and patient. Wasn’t given a time, but order was ready ten minutes after calling. Parking is directly in front of building and ample. Register is a beeline from the door, no mazes. Asked for a fortune cookie and he gave me three jokingly telling me how he likes the crunch too. Checkout was fast, friendly, and seamless though their card machine is slow.

The food smelled off for General’s Chicken, can’t quite place it, but it tasted great! Presentation in the to go box was nice and neat as well with the chicken and sauce in one half and the steamed white rice in the other with the broccoli resting on top of it. I appreciated this as I like to determine how much if any sauce I want on my broccoli and rice. There was enough sauce to go around either way and despite being the smaller combo portion this turned out to be two meals for me nonetheless. Not bad for under $12.

I consider this a really positive experience and therefore review, however it wouldn’t be balanced without some form of criticism. Only thing I could come up with was the atmosphere which as with most Chinese-American restaurants left something to be desired, along with a need for updates/remodeling. I’ll remove a star for that and that alone which has zero effect really on my to go experience but is fair as an overall perspective. If they work on the atmosphere/updates this place would definitely be 5 stars in my book.

I would also say this was a very ND friendly experience for those prone to anxiety or other...

My family and I have ate at this restaurant many times since its has changed management and on a normal visit to this restaurant, I would give it 5 stars for the quality of food and service. However, I ordered a Chicken Chow Mein that I was not particular fond of and it was not at all what I was expecting (comparing it to the quality of past dishes). Not only did it look unappetizing, it looked as though they had given scraps of what was leftover from previous dishes. Now the problem was not that I was dissatisfied, it was the response I got from the restaurant when I explained the situation. The guy who normally answers the phone told me " We do not give refunds," and I said really?? He then proceeded to tell me that "It's not the restaurant's problem that you don't like the food." Now...I know some customers can be a nuisance, but when I have one problem (which I have never had a problem with them before) with the food and that's the response I get???? Not, how can I make it up to you? Can I get you a refund?Atleast ask me, what's wrong with it? It is puzzling that you are able to stay afloat. I guess as long as you like the food it's no problem, but should one arise...goodluck on getting a refund, or proper response from this restaurant.

Horrible way to run a business, I won't...

First time here. it was okay. honestly I was torn between giving you three stars or four. areas for improvement. you show pepper squid on your menu as just that fried squid. but when I got it there was more onions, bell pepper and jalapenos than squid. the picture doesn't show that at all. the squid was amazing which I do appreciate. However I don't appreciate false advertisements. the wontons were unlike any I've ever had. not bad but not what I wanted. never had a meat filled wonton. definitely would suggest putting a description on it. the coconut soup was bland and one of the worst I've ever had. definitely wont ever get that again. the pineapple fried rice was okay. lacking in flavor. appreciate how many shrimp, pineapple and cashews were in it. however most of the shrimp veins had been properly cleaned but others weren't cleaned at all an some only partially. also don't appreciate finding chicken in my food that could be a serious issue I've I was someone that doesn't eat certain meats. take more time and put more effort into making the food with care and compassion. id definitely like to give this place another try and hopefully you can redeem yourself so that i can change this review to a...
